jogojogo: Ondo is not doi g well at all Aoyedatiwa is not adding value. I hear Makinde, I hear Oyebanji, I hear Sanwo Olu. I hear Mbah but I honestly don't know or understand what the Governors of Ondo and Osun are doing I went to Kogi state last 3 weeks, I drove their actually to Obajana an official basis. I took a detour to Ondo while returning to Lagos. I had to use the opportunity cuz it's been long I visited my dad after retired from service. Yea k saw some improvements but, c'mon we can do better nah..as oil producing state, it's a very very big disappointment. |

Go check how we treat formal heroes of Atlanta 96 then you will understand Tinubu has set a positive precedent. They will begin to appreciate them now |

slivertongue: Please share the yardstick used to arrive at that conclusion. My state is there oo but how come my state is ahead of the FCT? Thanks, God bless. . It's common sense and logical that your state is there, Abuja and Lagos not there..it simply means the people used to compile this statistics based their reasons on states that are relatively cheaper to live...food, accommodations, transport etc. These are the focus..it's logical |
Politics › Re: Nigeria Top 12 Most Preferred State To Relocate To — Statisense by timilehin007(m): 8:20pm On Aug 26, 2025 |
slivertongue: Too many false stats lately. When it's not on revenue, it's on poverty or education etc And you go say u go school o. For the record, my state is not there. So I'll ask u, do you know the yardstick used to compile this data? Do you ever wonder why Lagos didnt make the list? I'm sure u would expect Lagos to be there.. that would mean u lack understanding and illogical |

givedemwotowoto: That’s what Tinubu achieved in Brazil? Direct flights? We know una type..nothing good ever make sense to you set. But if it's bad news you will be all over pouring spits on people. U always prefer bad news just to spite Tinubu and APC. I like as he doesn't care if you exist or not. He doesn't pay attention to your hatred and existence. By the way, this feat doesn't have anything to do with u lots of 'agbotikuyo'. It will aid easy and convenience movement of people and business. Those who do business between both countries knows how important this feat is to them..so pls, don't think everyone is a nonentity like thee |

Music/Radio › Re: 25 Greatest Afrobeats Songs Of All Time (NO. 10 - 1) by timilehin007(m): 7:37pm On Aug 21, 2025 |
JoeEeL: And Fela, the founder of Afrobeats, has no songs in here?
Where is Zombie? Beast of a Nation?
=====================
Don't you guys think its time to draw the line between African songs and Afrobeats? Most of these songs here are simply African songs? 2face and Psquare's style were mostly Reggae. PSquare was doing some Pop & RnB. Abdelkareem was pure rap.
Only Wizkid's Ojuelegba is pure and refined Afrobeats. Fela and Tony Allen were the pioneers of this genre. There's a special african drum that goes with it, some percussions and usually a slow-type of beat with this special trumpet sound, and usually with some Yoruba lyrics to boot. It should be said that afrobeats lyrics tend to be socially conscious or afro-lifting.
Another pure trendy and modern afrobeat song you would find is Wande Coal's "So mi so".
Other sensational pure afrobeats songs are
Teni - "Askamaya" (extremely melodious beatz. I think Dr. Dolor or Spellz. Unbelievable beatz) L.A.X - "Sempe" (Afrobeats on fire! Somehow underrated) Tiwa Savage ft Wizkid - "Ma lo" (One of the most unforgettable Afrobeats collabo) Runtown - "Energy" (Great. Some elements of Afrobeats) Tiwa Savage - "49-99" (Traditional afrobeats) Tiwa Savage ft Naira Marley - "Ole" - (Pure afrobeats) Simi ft Adekunle Gold - "No forget" (Excellent afrobeats)
Wizkid ft Kuti - "Jaye Jaye" Wizkid - "Ojuelegba" (One of the grandest) Simi - "Joromi" (Classic afrobeats) Fireboy - "Jealous" (Modern afrobeats)
Honourable mentions:
Skibii - "Sensima" (Experimental afrobeats) Burna boy - "Anybody" (The intro of the song alone na afrobeats "
Please list more if I forgot. Thanks guys I agree wit you boss 100%. I just could not sit and waste my time educating people like you just did. I personally feel as an Africa, Afrobeat songs should e like 80% relatable to all Africans. |

Good..I support this 100%..if you think u can demarket and bad mouth this country, you think your freedom of speech allow you to talk trash about the country the the extent of wishing evil and always rejoice on any negatives about the country, u are wrong o. Something that could warrant execution from most Asian countries. China and other countries that blocked their citizen from accessing social media like of facebook, twitter, tiktok, WhatsApp etc, their citizen didnt didnt die and the government doesn't care if it's violation of right. The country face and interest most always comes first just like America doing now..North korea is worst even...many of you are just lucky African leaders are very soft...nonsense.
Quote me contrary to my stance and loose ur first issue in the nearest future |

YoungBlackRico: Online, you're free to express yourself. In the real world, not so much...plus there's interest at play. You don't really have much to lose when you show open bigotry on the internet while hiding behind your keyboard.
Don't be deceived, the resentment from both side is real...the only difference is interest. E be things oo..hmmmm |
