Fellow Nairalanders. A few days ago, someone posted a question in this section for advice on requirements for a new laptop.

I then listed a set of questions that would serve as guidelines on how to determine the 'best' laptop for him or anyone really.

After he gave his answers, I was able to recommend two models that to the best of my knowledge (and according to his budget) were fit for his purposes.
Other Nairalanders also gave their own suggestions.

This morning, upon clicking the bookmark for the thread, I was surprised to be greeted with the message:

"This topic has been removed or hidden."

I assume the moderators were behind this. Why?

Not for that price. If anyone offers you a laptop with those specs at that price, be very suspicious. Remember: if something is to good to be true, it usually is.

Where r u located?

13.3 to 14 inch laptops tend to be quite expensive. A few (average performance) cost between 100k & 110k. However most 14 inch models are powerful and cost between 130k & 160k.


For your budget, you're looking at a 15.6 model with modest performance. And most of these models won't play PES properly. I would suggest you go for an AMD based model with Radeon graphics.
