samorobo: Dont mind those Stupid starved dogs with no ounce of sense. Here in nigeria we know our national grid has the capacity to generate over 13,000mw but most times it produces about 4,000mw for consumption which is supplied but these useless dogs does not know that some communities, towns, villages are not connected to the national grid but most times have their own grid that generates little power for their consumption ranging from about 78mw _ 400mw while some are within close proximity to an industrial zone and we know here in Nigeria that industrial zone don't rely on the national grid but build it own grid for its businesses. Now those communities with their own grid or the once connected to an industrial zone end up having 24\7 of electricity and don't rely on the normal one gotten from the national grid. The 4,000mw we generate is not for every person that calls himself a nigerian since some have gotten a better option as I earlier stated above. Thing is we are even better than that lunatic who has been shouting no power when it's stupid slummish filled capital can barely produce 12 hours of electricity(which is even 1 out of every 10) to every useless nairobian with some not even knowing what electricity means. Kazikazi I thought you would be the first to bring these to limelight but all the same we are glad it came out. Jaycent tell these stupid dudes that our capital don't even goes through that useless electricity horror that their slum filled capital is experiencing Nairobi has 24 hour electricity including the slums Do you see Kenyans depending on generators like Nigerians We have 24 hour electricity and Nigeria doesn't |

samorobo: Pls don't give me the stress of zooming that picture. You were not talking slum so why deliberately shift the topic to slum just to cover the 2018 report that states that 1 out of every 10 homes have acess to electricity and it is expected to last for 12 maximum with some being unfortunate with just 6 hours(less than 12hours). And to think you have being shouting no electricity makes me want to slap your head off Our electricity is 24hours Even the slums have 24hours electricity |

chrisagyei: these Nigerians in your country are mostly and I mean 95% of them being online fraudsters or scammers. They normally camouflage this online fraud business with a physical stall or business venture acting as traders or tourist visitors. They travel to a nation with good reputation online and less likely to involve in online scams, use their I.P addresses of these locations to do their online fraud, illegal shopping, stealing of credit and debit cards and other scam datings and scam businessess. They tell these victims in mostly Western countries that they are based in Ghana or Kenya or any of their host countries so they have a good credibility to scam them. They destroy the good image of their host countries and create a high level of cyber crimes which the host country loses hundreds of millions of dollars. They pack themselves 10-15 in a room with illegally bought laptops and iPhones they shopped and shipped online.Don't over tolerate them,in Ghana,it's just a bus ride and they land here thousands in a day. We're suffering currently with this developments buh our leaders hardly act. In kenya they use to be a menace sometime back Deporting them was not solving the situation The new minister of interior came with new reforms They were arrested and jailed some ate the bullet Nowadays we hardly hear nigerians have done this ........Nigerians have done that |

You attack them because witnessing there success makes you painful envious. This crab in a barrel problem amongst black people needs to stop. samorobo: It not even a matter of news cause we see these things everyday in every states.Do you know how much it takes to build a train. If kenyan govt can say that a rail connecting nairobi and Mombasa which would funded by china is the biggest and largest probject ever embarked on in the history of kenya how much more nigeria that is building rails connecting ten cities with a much more longer land mass stretch compared to theirs.. Over 200 hundred federal road to off around nigeria in 2017 and as we speak more than half have been completed with the rest nearing completion. All these are the right and necessary ingredient for turning nigeria into a manufacturing hub (china of africa). For manufacturing and transportation of goods to take place there has to be constant uniterrupted power supply with free flow of goods to and fro without traffic. Don't you that over 15 new airport are under construction in Nigeria, why do you think the FG wants to start Nigerian air with 120 aircrafts. By the time all this are fully completed let's say 2022 nigeria growth would be intimidating to most african countries. It is the largest project in kenya so what is your problem |

theenchanter: corruption is d major stumbling block, govt officials give d job to their cronies, the cronies do a shady job n d govt won't make him face d law since he's his friend.
Secondly, national grid are not meant for populated countries like Nigeria, it won't work... mini grids are d solutions but Nigeria was hell bent on national grid since power is in d exclusive list of our Constitution, it was only rectified in 2017. . Corruption is a major stumbling block in Africa |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by tlann2: 10:31pm On Apr 14, 2019 |
theenchanter: d problem is actually transmission.... our national grid can't take what we're producing, it'll collapse. Another reason our generation companies usually reduce their generation.
Though expansion project that'll expand it to 20000mw by 2022, is currently ongoing, partly financed by world bank.
States were also allowed to build their power 2years ago and some states are already building power for their states alone, lagos is building 4000mw ipp. Then your govt needs to improve your transmission as simple as that why is it so hard |

Ghana is still trying and trying to meet up. All what we need are simply committed leaders who are ready to transform the country.
This is latest in Ghana ...... That is good Infrastructure is deplorable in many African countries |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by tlann2: 10:03pm On Apr 14, 2019 |
theenchanter: nigeria has a generation capacity of over 13,000mw but 8,000mw is produce and 6000-7000mw is transmitted, the national grid can't take more than that for now unless it'll collapse.
So, many off-grid transmission are used... for example, gas is supplied to industrial areas to power their ipp while federal universities are not connected to national grid but ipp, many rural areas are not connected to the grid but solar since their demand isn't much.
What we transmit is less than what we consume. So what is the problem with Nigeria's power sector Is it the production , transmission or consumption |

vaxx2: Every country has one or two development going on.
Ghana recently cut sod of about 2 billion dollars to build bridges, road and other infrastructure across the country. And the process is ongoing. No one is relaxing.
NIGERIA having a bigger land with a bigger population still have a lot of infrastructure deficits and this need a total address and adjustment. Every african country has major infrastructure deficits ranging from Poor transport network - roads, ports, airports, railway etc Utility network - electricity ,water and sewage services ,telecommunication etc The question is how is Africa leadership addressing this challenges Some african countries are doing a better job addressing infrastructure challenges in their countries |
