Thief falls asleep during operation after breaking into a TV presenter's house (photos/videos)

A thief fell asleep in the middle of his operation after breaking into a TV presenter's house in Tanzania.

Confirming the incident in an interview with East Africa Radio, ITV Zanzibar presenter, Farouk Karim said the thief entered his compound by scaling the fence.

The journalist added that the thief stole shoes and clothes before setting his sights on the car's power windows.

Recounting the incident, Farouk said he left home early in the morning for morning exercise only to receive a call that a thief was found at his home.

When he returned home, he found the thief sleeping in his car.

Busola Dakolo, wife of Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, has given an update on her rape case against, Biodun Fatoyinbo.


Recall that in June 2019, she publicly accused the clergyman of violently raping her when she was a teenager and was worshipping in his church in Kwara state. She filed a suit against him but it was thrown out by the court.


In an update posted this afternoon on her Instagram page, Busola shared a copy of the letter she received from the police stating they have completed investigations into the case and have forwarded the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation (DPPP) for legal advice and further necessary action.

Professor Euba died on the evening of Tuesday, April 14, 2020.

Prolific Nigerian composer, musicologist, pianist, and author, Professor Akin Euba has died less than two weeks to his 85th birthday.

Dr. Akin Euba was Andrew W. Mellon Professor of Music at the University of Pittsburgh until his retirement in 2011


Euba's scholarly interests include the musicology and ethnomusicology of modern interculturalism. He has organized regular symposia on music in Africa and the Diaspora at Churchill College, Cambridge as well as the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, according to his bio on Wikipedia. These events have featured such notable composers and scholars as J. H. Kwabena Nketia and Halim El-Dabh. With his Elekoto Ensemble, he has brought together musicians from Nigeria, China, India, Germany, Malta, and the United States.

His compositions involve a synthesis of African traditional material and contemporary classical music. His most ambitious composition is the opera Chaka: An Opera in Two Chants (1970).

Nigerians have taken to social media to mourn him.

A 41-year-old woman stripped naked and jumped on top of a police car following a court appearance for flouting Spain’s coronavirus lockdown.

The woman was first arrested after neighbours alerted police to a woman streaking during the daily round of applause for emergency workers in the Costa del Sol resort of Torremolinos.

She was filmed resisting arrest with her clothes on at first, but stripped off as she got to court.

Members of Diobu Vigilante group have been allegedly attacked by gunmen suspected to be cultists on Tuesday night at D-Tiger axis of Illabouchi, Mile 2 Diobu, a neighbourhood in Port Harcourt Rivers State.

According to report, one of the Vigilantes was shot in the buttocks by atleast four gunmen in what is suspected (ambajay.com) to be a targeted attack on Diobu Vigilante members.

It was learnt that the heavily armed gunmen stormed the street at about 8:20PM in a Toyota Camry and opened fire on one of the vigilante members, Mr Kelvin Dappa.

Mr Dappa was shot on the buttocks and the bullet pierced his laps.The victim is currently receiving treatment at Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.

Outspoken and controversial Nigerian rapper, Erigga has warned against dating a girl dumped by Yahoo Boys.

Although he refused to give a reason for his advise, a lot of his followers have been saying his reason might be because of the spending power of the Yahoo boy which might be difficult for the legitimately working boy to match.

He wrote: “As a young promising man when dey hustle legit , no date any girl when yahoo boy dump oh”

Some weeks ago, Erigga took to social media to air his opinion on married women, stating that women usually marry who is ready and not who they love.

According to the rapper, many ladies who have settled down marry men who are readily available to them and not because of love.

The rapper also pointed out that, this is the sole reason why many marriages fail.
