my story is a short one
ehm...where do I start?

I have always wanted to be an engineer, i chose aerospace engineering initially cause making planes and space shuttles sounded cool. my uncle and grandma want me to study medicine( they were still trying to get my dad to convince me up until last month) but my parents let me follow my heart. Wrote GCE in 2012, failed chemistry(that shii was hard back then), wrote waec in 2013, made all my papers, had to write jamb because aerospace engineering wasn't possible. Scored 273 but didn't write unilag's post jamb, as I didn't write further maths in waec.... bought supplementary form for fuoye and lasu....passed both but gained admission into Lasu only(electronics and computer engineering), rejected the admission, retook jamb in 2014, chose OAU, gained admission(electrical and electronics tech.) and surprised the people who nearly broke my head for rejecting admission last year.... and ehm, I'm taking SAT to see if I can gather enough escape velocity on a scholarship projectile.....

and that is the end of the beginning of my super story testimony
that wasn't long, was it?

understatement:
I noticed that most of us on this thread hav been seeking admission for long...so following the trend of timmy,when everybody is through with their testimony I wld suggest another topic which is:WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU DID DIFFERENTLY THIS YEAR THAT MADE YOU GOT ADMISSION??did you;

Read extensively unlike the previous years,

Listened to some advise from someone that eventually paid off,

Got closer to God

Ur connection was 10G lols....

Or u just applied as usual and u got lucky

Wen u guys are ready.. I will start..m..
ahan! when I have not given my own super story testimony...

Do you know anyone who went through a lot before getting admitted to study engineering?
Not really, but I know a medical doctor that doesn't know how to quote... *looks around*

Timmytimmy:

Lol, seems like Dr Chiamaka is ready to pounce on me.Well, I think you're very right,unfortunately like most doctors and to-be doctors, you misunderstood the statement I made . That statement is rather political........it has sooooooo many meanings but what I meant was that "the general thinking of an average Nigerian is that once you become a medical doctor,your financial, social and health problems are most likely over".
because they are most likely over... tell me one doctor you have seen walking under the scorching sun to submit his CV....

Chiamaka01:
@tobeykush
That depends on what 'it' is. If 'it' stands for being admitted to study engineering, you're not too far from the truth. If 'it' is studying engineering, you're wide off the mark.
yeah, I'm not too far from your 'truth'..... in my opinion, getting 'it' is just as challenging.... the only diff is that the fear of advanced maths as significantly reduced the competition compared to biology... cause that's the subject that differentiates everything- for now
Education / Re: OAU 2014/2015 FRESHERS (newly Admitted Students) Meet Here by tobeykush: 7:47am On Oct 13, 2014
Chiamaka01:
It also seems like those with a flair for engineering and who pursue don't pass through much stress before getting it.
I have a feeling that you think it's less challenging.... I should oppose that, but I don't have enough backup, so I won't. cool

Chiamaka01:

'Overprotective' isn't the word i'd use. It's more like the word for 'fear of trusting people'. My close friends can attest to this.
The word is 'cynical'..... and it's understandable if anyone is.... even I don't give my number out to random peeps.... and that's coming from a guy
