The only reason the ADC through Tambuwal and to some extent El Rufai were wooing Obi was to ensure Obi does not contest the next elections so as to see to the SE bloc votes going to their yet to be elected candidate.

The ADC wants to profit and milk the tribal hatred oozing out of the SE to vote their own preferred candidate which has been narrowed down to either Atiku or Amaechi. Most Obidient here have since declared they will vote even Bello Turji than vote Tinubu all because Tinubu is their hated Yoruba nemesis.

I have since written and predicted here that this is the only reason ADC was wooing Obi and that Obi will end up drawing the shortest stick and so far so good, things are looking the way I predicted.

I am convinced that even if Atiku clinches the ticket he won't be going for Obi as his running mate as this will alienate the core northern Muslim voters who have come to see Obi and his Obidient and their Siamese twin IPOB as the arch enemies of the north and Islam in Nigeria. Atiku may likely settle for either a SS candidate (by picking Amaechi) or go for a SW politician.
Yes, its that bad in the north . Years of running your mouths carelessly online berating the north and Islam and supporting and cheering on Trump's misplaced belligerent and meaningless bombings and promise to carve out your Biafra has seen to a spike in anti Ibo sentiments in same north. The grotesque macabre cheering on on the ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza by Israel has also done much damage to any potential ibo presidency or any alliance between the north and SE.

The ADC now has to just cage your Obi for as long as possible and ensure he picks up their nomination form. Once that is in place, the same ADC will not be voting your Obi as their candidate neither will Atiku be picking him as running mate. If Amaechi emerges then its game over for both Atiku and Obi.

I am sensing the Yaradua treatment at play here with Atiku being promised total support by northern caucus just to keep him in ADC so as to eventually deny him the ticket and retire his dinosaur ass to the fossil bin of Nigerian politics. The north is not very comfortable with Atiku for some reason. They saw Atiku challenging Buhari in 2015 as a threat to same northern interests. The northern mafia that is now teeming with new blood hungry for power will prefer Atiku to be retired permanently from politics and what better wah than to deny him the ADC ticket.

Its for this reason I am banking on the very pliable Amaechi whom I know will agree to do one term and ensure one of the young blood northerners takes over in 2031.

For these reasons I see why the ADC will do everything including promising heaven on earth to obi and his equally gullible mob supporters that he will be giving their ticket and they will even agree to Obi's once desperate plea to do just one term.

All these nah gimmick and as I said, they will use it to cage and tame Obi and his supporters to the very last minute.
