Travel › A Country Hidden In The Middle Of The Ocean! See The Marshall Islands! (30-sec)! by togeday(op): 6:19pm On Jun 28
Hey Nairalanders,

Have you ever heard of the Marshall Islands? It is one of the most isolated and unique countries on planet Earth.

This country is made of tiny, super-narrow strips of land surrounded by the deep blue Pacific Ocean. In some places, the islands are so thin that you can stand in the middle of the street and see the ocean crashing on both your left and right sides! It looks like a paradise, but it is also slowly sinking due to rising sea levels.

I made a beautiful, fast-paced 32-second video filled with mind-blowing aerial pictures and great music showing how people actually live in this ocean world.

Politics › What Nigeria Can Learn From Venezuela's Collapse (video) by togeday(op): 7:27pm On Jun 26
Hey Nairalanders,

While we are here complaining about the floating of the Naira and fuel subsidy issues, there is a country that used to be richer than Dubai but ended up in a financial graveyard. I’m talking about Venezuela.

They have the largest oil reserves on planet earth, yet their citizens have to carry bags full of cash just to buy a loaf of bread. To make matters worse, 2026 has been insane for them – from the dramatic arrest of their president by US forces to the recent devastating double earthquakes that just hit Caracas.

How did a giant petrostate lose it all, and is Nigeria safely avoiding or blindly repeating their exact mistakes?

Let's see a powerful, eye-opening under-30-second video that shows the reality of Venezuela:

Travel › Nation Where Men Jump Off 100ft Towers On Vines And Worshipped A British Prince! by togeday(op): 12:48am On Jun 23
Hello everyone,

Through my global documentary project togeday, I focus on exploring the most unique and untouched cultures on our planet. Today, let’s travel to Vanuatu - a breathtaking archipelago in the South Pacific that holds traditions so wild, they sound like pure fiction.

Most people have never heard of Vanuatu, but its cultural footprint has actually influenced the modern extreme sports world and global anthropology in unforgettable ways.

Here are 3 incredible facts about Vanuatu that will completely blow your mind:

The Birth of Bungee Jumping (Naghol): Centuries before bungee jumping became a global commercial sport, the men of Pentecost Island in Vanuatu were doing it as a sacred ritual. Every year, they build massive, 100-foot-high wooden towers using only forest timber. Then, they tie rough jungle vines to their ankles and plunge headfirst toward the solid ground, stopping just inches before impact to prove their manhood and guarantee a good harvest.
The Prince Philip Movement: In the remote village of Yaohnanen, the local tribe practiced a religion that predicted the son of a mountain spirit would travel across the ocean to marry a powerful queen. When they saw the respect given to Prince Philip (the late husband of Queen Elizabeth II) during a royal visit, they realized he matched the prophecy. For decades, they worshipped the British Prince as a living god, praying to his photos for protection.
The Underwater Post Office: Vanuatu is home to the world’s only official underwater post office. Located inside a marine sanctuary just off Hideaway Island, it sits 3 meters below the surface. Travelers actually put on scuba gear or snorkels to post special waterproof postcards, which are cleared daily by a diving postman.

To capture the raw adrenaline of the land-divers, the fascinating tribal beliefs, and the stunning volcanic landscapes of these islands, togeday has just released a spectacular new short visual guide.

Togeday is currently on an ambitious mission to build the ultimate visual map of the world, documenting every single country one by one. Travel › The Pacific Island That Invented "Crypto" Hundreds Of Years Before Bitcoin! by togeday(op): 9:17pm On Jun 21
Hello everyone,

Through my global documentary project togeday, I focus on uncovering the world's most unique lifestyles and systems. Today, we are traveling to Micronesia - specifically to a mesmerizing island called Yap.

In the modern world, we think that decentralized finance, cryptocurrency, and blockchain are brand-new technologies invented in Silicon Valley. But while producing our latest short documentary, I discovered that a remote island society in the Pacific Ocean has been running on the exact same principles for centuries.

Here are 3 incredible facts about Micronesia's ancient stone money system:

The Giant Stones of Wealth: On the island of Yap, people use Rai Stones as traditional currency. These are massive circular limestone discs with a hole in the center. Some of them are over 12 feet wide and weigh up to 4 metric tons!
The Ancient "Blockchain": Because these stone coins are too heavy to move, the islanders developed a brilliant system. When a stone changes ownership (for a wedding, land purchase, or deal), it stays exactly in the same physical spot. The community simply memorizes the transaction. It is a completely decentralized public ledger based purely on social consensus and trust - exactly how Bitcoin works today!
The Underwater Fortune: Years ago, a massive Rai stone accidentally sank to the bottom of the deep ocean during a storm. Even though nobody could see it or touch it, the elders agreed that the stone's value was still valid and belonged to the owner. Centuries later, that family is still wealthy based on a coin at the bottom of the sea.

To capture the breathtaking views of these tropical islands, the massive stone money paths, and the deep, brilliant culture of Micronesia, togeday has just released a visually stunning new short guide. As an international creator, seeing how ancient wisdom mirrors modern tech was absolutely mind-blowing.

Witness the birthplace of stone crypto here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djDLIftMwyI?si=TNRQhXgp49qSplEF

To the tech entrepreneurs, crypto investors, and history lovers on Nairaland - isn't it fascinating how humanity solved the problem of trust and currency using the exact same logic, centuries apart? If you could buy a piece of land using a giant stone, would you trust a currency you can't even move? Let's discuss below, and I'd love to get your feedback on our new video!
Foreign Affairs › The Tiny Island That Went From The World’s Richest Nation To Total Collapse! by togeday(op): 4:47pm On Jun 21
Hello everyone,

Through my global documentary project togeday, I always look for places with extraordinary histories that teach us powerful lessons about our world. Today, let’s talk about Nauru - the world’s smallest island republic.

Imagine a country so small you can drive around the entire nation in
20 minutes. Yet, a few decades ago, this tiny dot in the Pacific Ocean was officially the richest country on Earth per capita. What happened next is one of the most unbelievable economic stories in human history.

Here are 3 mind-blowing facts about Nauru's rollercoaster history:

The Bird Poop Fortune: For millions of years, migrating seabirds nested on Nauru, leaving behind massive deposits of droppings that hardened into the highest-grade phosphate rock on Earth. In the 1970s, Nauru began mining this "white gold" on a massive scale. Suddenly, a tiny population of just a few thousand people was making hundreds of millions of dollars.
Extreme Luxury and No Taxes: During the boom, the government made education and healthcare 100% free, and nobody paid a single cent in taxes. The state bought luxury sports cars for citizens, even though the island had only one major road. They even established their own international airline just to fly wealthy citizens around the world for shopping trips.
The Resource Curse: By the late 1990s, the phosphate completely ran out, leaving 80% of the island's interior looking like a barren lunar landscape. The national trust funds were mismanaged, and the wealth vanished almost overnight. Today, Nauru has to completely reinvent itself to survive.

To capture the raw, unbelievable history of this island, its unique landscape, and the resilience of the Nauruan people today, togeday has just released a compelling short visual guide. As an international creator, exploring how quickly a nation's fortune can turn was an incredibly humbling experience.

Discover the powerful story of Nauru here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlwOUIRl67o?si=h5B8FJdMb40WaJk1

To the business, economy, and history minds on Nairaland - Nauru’s history is often cited as the ultimate textbook example of the "Resource Curse." What lessons do you think developing nations can learn from how Nauru managed its sudden wealth? I would love to read your analytical thoughts and get your feedback on our new video!
Travel › Paradox: World Cup Champions Where Cash Is Dying But Football Is Religion! by togeday(op): 12:28pm On Jun 21
Hello everyone,

Through my global documentary project togeday, I always look at the real, raw lifestyle of nations beyond the standard tourist brochures. Today, let’s look at a country that is currently living through one of the most fascinating paradoxes in modern history: Argentina.

On one side, Argentina is at the absolute peak of global pride - the home of Lionel Messi, World Cup Champions, and a football culture so passionate it borders on the spiritual. But on the other side, the daily economic reality of the citizens looks like something out of a finance thriller.

Here are 3 mind-blowing facts about modern Argentina that will change how you view this country:

The Currency Rollercoaster: Argentina has been battling one of the highest inflation rates in the world. It is so volatile that restaurants often don't print prices on menus - they write them in pencil because prices can change twice a week! To survive, locals have become global experts in crypto, and many businesses accept alternative stablecoins just to keep their savings safe.
Football Over Food: Despite the economic chaos, when the national team plays, the entire country completely freezes. During the World Cup, regular citizens were spending their life savings just to fly to Qatar. In Argentina, football is not entertainment - it is the ultimate social glue that keeps the nation happy and united during tough times.
The Land of 6 Climates: Beyond football and finance, Argentina’s geography is wild. It stretches from the giant, tropical Iguazu Waterfalls in the north, all the way to Ushuaia in the south - the southernmost city in the world, nicknamed "The End of the World," where you can literally catch a boat straight to Antarctica.

To capture this incredible high-energy lifestyle, the passion of the fans, and the stunning contrasts of their daily life, togeday has just released a spectacular new short visual guide to Argentina.

Experience the raw energy of Argentina here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OKsrPBeycI?si=EFyYqJO7D6TC-rJs

To the football fans and economy experts on Nairaland - how do you think a country manages to maintain such a high-tier football dominance while dealing with intense financial inflation? I would love to hear your thoughts and get your expert feedback on our new video!
Travel › The South American Wonder Where You Can Walk On Clouds And Touch The Future! by togeday(op): 7:52am On Jun 21
Hello everyone,

Through my global documentary project togeday, I investigate places that challenge our understanding of reality. Today, I want to take you to a country that holds both the most poetic landscape on Earth and the key to the world's future technology.

I am talking about Bolivia - a nation locked high in the Andes mountains that is home to a phenomenon so surreal, it looks like a high-budget Hollywood special effect.

Here are 3 incredible facts about Bolivia that will completely blow your mind:

The Infinite Mirror (Walking on Clouds): Bolivia is home to Salar de Uyuni, a massive salt flat spanning over 10,000 square kilometers. During the rainy season, a thin layer of water transforms this entire desert into the world's largest natural mirror. The sky reflects perfectly on the ground, completely erasing the horizon. When you stand there, you literally feel like you are floating in outer space or walking directly on the clouds.
The Battery Capital of the World: Beneath this beautiful, otherworldly salt desert lies a massive geopolitical treasure. Bolivia sits on top of the largest lithium reserves on the planet. Lithium is the "white gold" needed to power every single smartphone, laptop, and electric vehicle battery in existence today. The future of global tech depends heavily on this single mountain nation.
The City in the Sky: Bolivia boasts the highest administrative capital in the world, La Paz. Built inside a canyon at over 3,600 meters above sea level, the air is so thin that the city doesn't rely on traditional subways. Instead, they built the world’s largest and highest urban cable car network (Mi Teleférico), allowing millions of people to commute daily through the clouds.

To capture the breathtaking optical illusions of the salt flats, the incredible mountain architecture, and the high-energy lifestyle of this unique culture, Togeday has just released a spectacular new short visual guide. As an international creator, bringing these scientific and visual wonders to life was an unforgettable experience.

Sports › Can Ecuador’s $140M Chelsea Star Save Them From Group Stage Elimination Tonight? by togeday(op): 6:51pm On Jun 20
Hello football fans,

Through my global documentary project togeday, I don’t just look at cultures - I follow the high-energy lifestyle of nations. And right now, the biggest story in South American football is happening live at the FIFA World Cup 2026!

Everyone is talking about Brazil and Argentina, but Ecuador arrived at this tournament with what pundits call their "Golden Generation". However, after a heartbreaking 90th-minute 1-0 loss to Ivory Coast in their opening match, La Tri is now facing a literal do-or-die situation.

Here is why football lovers need to keep their eyes on Ecuador right now:

The Chelsea Engine Room: The entire team relies on Moisés Caicedo, the superstar midfielder who cost Chelsea over £100 million. If Ecuador wants to survive the group stage, Caicedo needs to completely dominate the pitch tonight.
The New Virgil van Dijk: Ekwador has one of the tightest defensive records in the world, marshaled by Willian Pacho - the Paris Saint-Germain centre-back who has already won the Champions League twice and is praised as the next defensive wall of football.
The Final Chance: Ecuador is facing Curaçao. Because of the goal difference from the first match, a simple win might not be enough. They need to attack with everything they have, featuring their legendary all-time top scorer Enner Valencia.

To capture the raw passion of South American football, the high stakes of the World Cup, and the incredible energy of Ecuador's fans, Togeday has just dropped a cinematic short visual guide to this sports-crazy nation.

Watch the spirit of Ecuador here:
