Subsidy was removed at the time the landing cost was such that the pump price was circa N600. International oil prices have since gone up such that the pump price now should be N800. Somehow or the other the government have found a way to subsidize the difference between N600 and N800 because if they allowed the price to reflect the true market price of N800, you are the same people that are programmed to complain. bear in mind subsidy is now illegal. there is no law backing subsidies on petrol, it expired in June.

Pump price before subsidy removal was N175, government was paying subsidy of N425 (600-175) on every litre of petrol. let us assume they are now subsidizing N200 (800-600) through the back door, the country is still better off N425 (previous subsidy) v N625 (subsidy today if subsidy was never removed v current subsidy (N200) which still leaves N425 available for roads, hospitals education etc that would have been burnt in the exhaust pipes of klandcruisers and lexus jeeps.

its not like subsidy is back and yet they are charging users N600....no!!!! the subsidy from N175-600 that was removed remains removed but due to the rise in oil prices and the reality on the ground, the rise from N600 to N800 is being met by the government one way or another.

Tinubu Won the Presidential Election square and fair against all Odds, and every sensible human being on Earth knows this.

But the way Naira has been on free fall at alarming speed due to Scarcity of FOREX has called for concerned from every Soul that wishes Nigeria well. It is extremely sad that the forces that wants the current President to fail are using every means available to get him discredited and hated by Nigerians Populace. The unexpected Boldness demonstrated by the President in stopping and reversing the forceful take over of Ancestral People Homelands has shocked the Cabals that expected him to be a weakling to the marrow. So, they have now queued up behind Atiku being their tribal Person and also using their Leverage as the major runners of Bureau de Change Companies in Nigerian to create a wickedly orchestrated FOREX Scarcity which has caused immense Damage to Naira and Purchasing Power of Nigerians in recent times, automatically making Nigerians to feel disappointed about Bola Tinubu's Presidency.

As we can now see that they are using their Strangle-hold on FOREX and Bureau de Change Industry to Punish Nigerians just like they used Emefiele to kill many Nigerians with unprecedented Hardship just because they wanted their Tribal Person to replace Buhari so that they can Continue their Hijacking of Ancestral Homelands of indigenous Nigerians which Tinubu has been fighting Tooth and Nail for since the days of Abiola that this same Canals almost killed him but ALMIGHTY GOD Preserve his Life for this same Purpose of this same Invaders' Battle that he has been fighting to save all indigenous Nigerians from. Indeed, if you think that Buhari is better than Tinubu, you don't have any awareness of how much debt subsidy has plunged our economy into, apart from the other causes of our debt, corruption included.

The honest truth is, we have paid too much for cheap fuel. And for tinubu to bring back cheap fuel, it shows that his government has decided to return to one more failed government policy.

Well, let's keep lying to ourselves. Niger and Ghana buy fuel above N900 per liter...and BOTH HAVE WORKING REFINERIES. No subsidy, working refineries. The income we earn from oil is too low for us to pay for subsides and pay for good refineries. Not when we produce less than Libya....for a population twenty times the size of Libya/
