Remember also that refining crude into several products is a business and it has to be done profitably otherwise refineries would be scrap in years. Subsides would accelerate the process of dangote refinery crashing because no profits to be made.


Also if we want consumption subsides then we do what sane countries do and pay high rate income tax to fund it.

Finally, oil money is not enough for our country. Yes I am aware that corruption dey, and that's part of why I am not supporting apc. But without corruption, we are not earning the kind of oil revenue that would enable the government to subsidize fuel to a level where everyone can get it cheap in high prices times.
