Manchester United are considering a January move for Napoli attacker Hirving Lozano. This comes amid claims the player is free to leave Napoli for a bargain. United boss, Erik ten Hag, was given over £200m to spend in the summer window. And with the Red Devils winning five of their last six, Ten Hag will hope to continue that momentum. However, the Dutchman knows he will need more cash to spend in January with more additions needed. To that end, reports suggest United will make a further £70m available to their manager. Top of Ten Hag's list now is both a new goalkeeper and a new striker. According to the Manchester Evening News, one player they are strongly considering is Lozano. The Mexican star is unhappy at Napoli and reportedly wants to leave at the first opportunity. His time at Naples has not gone to plan, and the Serie A side are unlikely to stand in his way if a bid comes in. Per the reports, they are looking for a fee of around £27m-€30m, although there's a feeling Napoli may accept for less. Lozano is a goalscoring winger who Ten Hag's will know well from his time in the Netherlands. He has scored 109 goals from 349 games and will add to United's firepower. |
Chelsea defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, has revealed why he chose Senegal over France. According to him, it is because the Teranga Lions "waited for me" Despite a childhood in France, Koulibaly never forgot his African orgins and eventually opted to represent his parents homeland. He said, it was a big choice, because I could have played with the French national team, but at 23 or 24 years old I decided to play for Senegal, because they were waiting for me. "I spoke with the coach, he gave me good motivation and good reasons to come, and I also spoke with my family. The most important people were my parent's, they told me that I have to do what I want, but when I told them that I wanted to play for the Senegal national team, I saw the light in their eyes, and I knew it was a good choice. " When I arrived and I saw the other players, it was like they were my family, because we were all used to eating the same things at home, so for me it was like I was home. I said to myself, why didn't I come before? They are like my brothers. |
Tottenham are sweating on Dejan Kulusevski fitness, after the midfielder suffered a muscle injury while on international duty with Sweden. Antonio Conte's side take on rivals Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday. Spurs are looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season. But Conte might be without Kulusevski, after he reported back to London with a tight hamstring on Wednesday. The Swedish underwent a scan at their training base and complained of a muscle issue. The winger started both of Sweden's Nation League fixtures during the international break against Slovenia and Serbia. Should he miss the derby, Heung-Min Son and Richarlison can be expected to provide support for Harry Kane in attack. |
Napoli will consider selling their striker, Victor Osimhen in 2023 amid interest from Manchester United on one condition. According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Man United manager Erik ten Hag has little chance of signing the Napoli player, unless the Red Devils bid 100million euros (around £86million). Osimhen has long been linked with a move to Man United. Said Romano, it was a priority for summer 2022, but Ten Hag wanted to invest big money on Anthony and this is why the plan changed, so Manchester United will consider the opportunities in 2023. "Rumours of Osimhen are not confirmed as Napoli have no intention to sell him, unless they receive an official bid of more than €100m so it looks extremely unlikely. "It's still an open situation for Man United to take time before deciding on the next big investment. |
