malone5923: Bricked Mª3a Gionee e3 while flashing with the Chinese firmware, now I can only hear unlocking sound but the screen is blank. Can anyone please create a file_to_flash_folder using MTK droid tool with the stock ROM boot.img, preloader etc or point me where I can download the stock ROM that isn't Chinese? @4peace or anyone, need u guys help here. I can sort myself out if pointed to the RIGHT direction.

jreyez: Lolz I tried flash the canvas 4 rom on India firmware using the usual trick..... I got stuck @ boot logo.... I'll try flashing the Chinese firmware this night...

has anyone used a PC running on windows 8 OS to flash the chinese firmware here huh

i have a feeling that my problem may be coming from the drivers not installing properly.............under ports (COM& LPT) DA USB VCOM PORT(COM14) and PRELOADER USB VCOM PORT(com13) has that caution sign and i think its nt properly installed

under universal serial bus controllers i cudnt find any mediatek driver even after installing pda.net and following the instruction on how to install the driversfor GIONEE ELIFE E3

directonpc: bro if what you want is to do is a restore of your stock rom and phone is already dead/bricked. I will recommend you do the following.
1.flash chinese firmware via sp flash tool.*ask me for guide if you are lost*
2.Root chinese firmware/flash cwm to it via mobile uncle.*still ask me for help if you are lost.*
3. Move the stock root backup from you pc or anywhere you stored it to
sd/clockwork/backup. *usually backup is a folder with auto name that says d date it was made.
4.boot to cwm and wipe data,factory settings,cache partition and dalvik cache, then goto backup and restore and restore your stock rom.

directonpc: i didnt download rom from net. Had a cwm backup but been the feel lazy to restore. If you have a cwm backup let me know i go guide you

directonpc: back to stock rom. So happy. Now my charge screen works perfect all bugs removed. God know i will never flash custom rom again

plz can u help with a link OR tut on how u did revert to Stock ROM.....if u dont mind i will like to send u mail for easier communication

ya..........flashed the chineese firmware BUT not successful because the screen only blinkz

sometimes it just goes blank and as such i cant view or access anything on the fone............pc recognises it but i guess i need to turn ON USB STORAGE to be able to access my internal storage OR SDCARD

NOW what i want is HOW TO FLASH Custom Roms using SP FLASHTOOL or HOW TO REVERT to my Stock Rom.......i will retry Flashing The chinese firmware later

Its not adviseable to convert game apks to system app.

The app did install as I saw it among my apps but when I try to open it I get ''unfortunately virtual tennis has stoppped"

I'm currently on stock and I've Installed the same Apk b4....... I tried the browser. Apk above and its currently installed and working fine

Godvilla: [color=olive]*Copy the apk to a folder on ur device’s SD card, Also make sure you know the path where you have copied it on the SD card.

*Once you have located the required APK in data/app/ on the SD card from root Explorer, tap-and-hold on its icon till u get a menu, and tap ‘Cut’.

*Now press the back button till you reach the internal memory of the device and then browse to /system/app/ and paste the apk.

*Now find the app’s icon in the list of files there and tap-and-hold on it till you get the menu.

*Scroll down in the menu 2 Permissions to bring up the permissions dialog.

*A mount query will pop u, just select Yes 2 grant mount access.

*Make sure everything under ‘READ’ is checked.
Only ‘USER’ is checked under
‘Write’ and nothing is checked under ‘Execute’.
By doing so, u have set the app permission to "rw-r-r"

*REBOOT UR DEVICE AND OPEN BROWSER*[/color]

all those having issues after inserting SD card shud MOVE the ''cache'' or ''data'' files to the corresponding folder in SDCARD(memory card)

NOTE: if u are moving it with an app like 7zipper or B1 free achiver ''SDcard0'' is ur memory card(the detachable one u bought in the market

And ''SDCARD1'' is the 11gig phone capacity dat is available to user

I hope this helps cos i believe thats where u guyz are having problem

I rooted with framaroot and it didn't take a minute........make sure u select superSU not superuser

then click boromir

reboot ur fone and u are done
