RomanceRe: Uncovering The Dark Truths About Nigerian Adult Film Business by traware(m): 8:31am On Nov 26, 2025
Akalia:
why allow yourself to be damaged? As it is now you can't apply restraint and you might as well be pushed to start making your own content.

There is something really sinister and negatively psychological about porn, like what would make a grown adult take off clothes and have recorded sex in the presence of a crew without a tinge of shame The the everyday mad/psychotic people we see on the road would never indulge in explicit sex in public but yet a human being who is presumed mentally sound is indulging is such an act.
Think about it.
@Emboldened
Many,if not all of them were sexually molested as children. They are also ruthlessly exploited by the porn companies/websites they work for (this is an issue worldwide in the industry)
You can watch the 3 part documentary "After Porn Ends" and the 9 part documentary "The Dark Side of Porn" to know more about that shady industry

Nobody is trying to help you. They are all trying to help themselves.

Nigeria was initially a protectorate. The king of Lagos signed an agreement with the British under the guise of “protection” from other invading Europeans like the French, Portuguese etc but primarily also because he had local rivals for his throne. Next thing we woke up and were a colony.

The African man never learns, thinks he has “friends” and is always the one who invites his exploiters. In most cases it is because he has a problem with his brother so he invites his exploiter. Different times, same script….people never change.

Is it that, people like BNXN don’t submit to Grammy or am I missing something

It’s already the end of an era for Davido and Wiz, those guys are not singing anything again! It’s promotions that’s still making them relevant.

No way they should be on that list. Many guys killed it far ahead of them.
@Emboldened

Very good question.
The names you mentioned are signed to massive/powerful western music record labels. So,they simply use these major award ceremonies to platform their biggest signed artistes inorder to give them more publicity especially to mostly western music consumers/customers.
It is not called the music business for nothing.

It is actually Wole Soyinka and Chinua Achebe that sought the approval of white people, not others.

After independence, he and Achebe and co argued that bkackism (called Negritude then) was a bad idea and that anybody who don't key into Western hegemony would regret it. White people from then on took control of them and used them to bring us as we're today.

Intelligent people like Cheikh Anta Diop, Obiajunwa Wali, Ngugi Wa Thiong'o, advocating for bkackism were sidelined. That's why they're not popular.

If these people were alive today or even anybody who've done their research, they'll do to Soyinka what Igbos call "ntoor"
Once again,i agree with your post.Cheikh Anta Diop is a man i greatly admire. Thanks for the detailed response

Words by brother Malcolm X written on marble.

"I’ve never seen a sincere white man, not when it comes to helping black people. Usually things like this are done by white people to benefit themselves. The white man’s primary interest is not to elevate the thinking of black people, or to waken black people, or white people either. The white man is interested in the black man only to the extent that the black man is of use to him."............. Malcolm X
Sir,I agree with your sentiment but let us not forget how the blackman in the past and presently, is extremely willing to throw other blackmen under the bus inorder to please/seek for the approval of the whiteman

Many still believe in the "My own oyibo man is better than your own" or some use the narrative that "Bilal was the first Black man to do blah blah blah".

Well if that's the case then why are your religious doctrines and pages so filled with anti-black rhetoric? Why are your pages so pro-slavery? Why is the Ummah always used as a reverse uno card to shut the voices of black Muslims when they try to call out certain racist doctrines and practices? Why are your people so vehemently against black Muslims using their voice to talk about Free Palestine and Congo? Why must it only be "Free Palestine"? Why has this Bilal's relevance been reduced to only race related issues and his name only comes up when they are looking for an reason to convince the black Muslims to be subservient?

If they truly accept black people as one of them, then surely they wouldn't have to use a figure from 2000 years ago to convince black muslims that they think of black muslims as one of them, right? Because there would be many instances to point to. I don't know man.
What I have come to realize is,black people worldwide, simply do not want to accept their painful realities.
They all just want to live in La La land because residing in a fantasy land is much easier than facing their harsh existence

France using their middle Eastern underbosses (Islam) to attack Africa once again, especially after Mali and Burkina decided that they didn't want more mosques but more educational institutions and hospitals.

What new here? Its always been that way. The west and east had an agreement during the Ottoman empire conquest of Europe and the reconquesta that followed, Africa was used as compensation for the Ottomans after Europe conquered and forced them out and till this day both sides have suppressed any attempt to bring economic independence to the continent.

That's why I laugh when I see people kpaing themselves for all this Gaza matter, if you really know how much these Arabs (both the ones in the Levant and the desert arabs) despise and hate Africans, you go just go house relax, forget all this nonsense wey una carry for head.
Mrchippychappy:
Bro they are all the same but at least those ones make it clear that they despise you (Goyim) and haven't launched a religious assault on the continent the way the Arabs have for a millenia. I'm not one of those people who thinks my oyibo oga is better than your Arab oga and vice versa (I don't believe in a holy land or any divine hierachy, I do however consider myself a God fearing person) I'm all for religious tolerance and freedom and any theological belief system that supports that tolerance and freedom is one that I would agree with.

I totally get where you are coming from but the mistake I see most times is that people are quick to draw parallels without evaluating historical patterns, many of which are evidently still present in our modern day interactions with those who brought these religious practices to our continent, you simply have to look up the horror stories of Kenyan, Ethiopia and Somali maids in Saudi, Oman, UAE and Lebanon or the recent evacuations in Beirut and how the Lebanese were evacuating their citizens due to the Israeli strikes but refused to evacuate the African workers and even refused to return their passports, living them there as canon fodder/ collateral damaged.

A lebanese girl even told me she would not be returning there from Europe as the African maid she grew up with (who she's managed to keep contact with) began opening up recently about her horror experiences and how she was denied access to using public facilities, the lebanese people threw a fit when she tried to use public spaces even in grocery stores and this happened in the 2010s!!!!

I no want even talk about Libya and Tunisia ( I made a post about that a while ago), that one na long topic
Known about this for over two decades.
It used to bother me tremendously in the past but all I do nowadays to my fellow Black Africans is to look and laugh

All I know is bandit, kidnappers don't care about your religion infact their fellow muslim are more victim of their evil business. ISWAP and Boko Haram have be attacking Borno on constant basis and attacking our army on daily basis pls has there be anytime ISWAP or Boko Haram said we attacked Borno and Nigeria army because they are christain?

Pls I want to know. And I beliv somebody in desperation for power is behind this strange news because during Buhari that it was so glaring el rufai ran genocide against Southern Kaduna for being predominantly christains this news never came out.

I need evidence I mean evidence with video, audio, pictures, locations and time when did this genocide occurred.

Una wan make US destro this country as they did in Iraq, Syria, Ukraine etc that till date bloodshed never stop? And the US are enjoying in their country, Nigerians wake up these deadly politics we are playing will ends us like Tutsi-Hutu scenario. A word is enough for the wise.
wasuka14:
This is very wrong. The identity of those killing people and those bandits are unknown. Till now, no one as ever established any of them to be a Nigeria citizen or belong to any family or any known religion sect in Nigeria in the first place. And equally, all the majority Muslims body and organizations in Nigeria are condemning the act of violence. So, attaching those bandits to Islamic killing is unfear to the Muslims.
The same way, as a Christian, you cannot accept if we begin to attach the unknown Gun-men in the SE to be of Christians promoted killing as well.
All violence is not welcome in any religion of faith, in Nigeria to my best knowledge.
wasuka14:
Of course this is what am thinking. The u.s congresswoman and others are making it look like , violence & killing in Nigeria is only affecting Christians. Muslims and Traditionalist are also affected. And records numbers of other people of different faith aside Christians are victims as well. But people pushing this narrative, are just trying to divided us more in my opinion. Every life Matters.
The stand up should be for every souls and victims not only Christians as the narrative is pushing it.
When did the USA start caring about the plight of black people anywhere on this planet?

For goodness sake, the USA does not even care about the plight of the black people in her own border.

No? Why? Are they not human beings?

Do we have insecurity? Yes. Caused by oyibo selling guns to criminal elements in Nigeria to destabilise us. Everybody in Nigeria is a victim

Instead of you to focus on getting rid of the criminal elements in your community you think oyibo will give you visa.

If you don’t know they are looking for people to provide free labour so carry on following their madness.

Great memories On my Sega, my favorite games were Sonic, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, and Mortal Kombat This was back in the early to mid 90s. We would play the game so much that the battery would get super hot, and then we would wrap in nylon and put in the freezer to cool it down. grin

I liked Mario, but not as much as I liked Sonic. I was a Sega fan to death, so I always stuck with Sonic, while Nintendo fans loved Mario.
