One thing I've noticed is how people complain of always throwing away their stakes to the bookies and not winning a dime. Just like every other professions in life there are rules and guidelines to follow inorder to win. For me personally I've been able to make profit on sports betting and there's proof! I own the Twitter handle @betking007. You can check my portfolio and see for yourself. Anyway without further a do let's get straight right into it.

LIKE EVERY OTHER EXPENSE ALWAYS SET A BUDGET (DAILY/WEEKLY/MONTHLY)
It is extremely important you follow a strict budget plan while you bet. The moment you make a stake it should be assumed you've lost the money until otherwise. Setting a limit be it daily, weekly or monthly helps you stay in order and personally I would recommend you keep it that way even if you're winning. Because trust me there would be good days and lots of bad days.

BE PATIENT AND DONT LET OTHER PEOPLE'S WIN MAKE YOU JEALOUS
Now personally I've falling victim to this quite a few times. If you're in a betting community be it on Twitter, Facebook, WhatsApp group and co you'd realize some people might post their winnings only for you to want to follow suite. Sometimes for example, you know you can only afford to lose 1K daily but you see someone win 500K with 50K stake on 10 odds and you think yeah I should do the same but ended up losing and you become depressed. Stay patient and follow your plan your time will come.

NEVER CHASE YOUR LOSS!
I know you hear this a lot and probably don't understand it. This is like rule 101 in betting. Let me paint a scenario of what this means. You play a game. 9 out of 10 enters and you're pained because you almost won BIG then you so called decided to play 'safe' with just 2 games with a huge stake to cover up for your previous loss and make profit but you still lost now that's you CHASING YOUR LOSS. Nothing is sure, yeah I know it can be really painful missing out on a sweet win because of one game. It has happened to me so many times I can't count, just be patient your day is coming!

MOST OF THE TIME STATS DON'T LIE
Now if you want to make profit like I do you have to realize that checking team and league stats are very very important. Don't just see a small odd and automatically tip them to win. Bookies get punters a lot with this. Sometimes odds lie when you check stats. I personally use H2H alot, team goals, home and away form, league standing, league goals, home and away goal record et al.

WINNING SMALL AND STEADY IS BETTER THAN LOSING
This is my last tip but not the least tip for this episode. This one is very common with a lot of punters. You play a longshot ticket consistently with so many games and keep losing. Is it not better you play a very small odd and win small consistently? I'm not saying you shouldn't try your luck every now and then but that shouldn't be your main ticket. It's always better to stake for instance 5K on 2 odds than spreading the 5K on 10 tickets with 20 or more odds.
