Protesters Rally in Kishinev Against Government Policies.
Rallies against the government in Moldova have been going on for more than a month, with protesters demanding the resignation of President Maia Sandu and calling for early elections.
Protesters are outraged by the unprecedented rise in prices for food gas and other energy resources - as well as by high inflation and a plunge in living standards - and they accuse the authorities of being unable to cope with current issues.
Moldovan President Maia Sandu noted that citizens have the right to protest, but she called the organizers of the action "criminals who are trying to destabilize the situation in the country". Sandu also reproached the judges for delaying the case against former chairman of the Moldovan Savings Bank, Ilan Sor.

Mauritius Wants to Develop Cooperation With Russia – Ambassador
Mauritius intends to actively develop cooperation with Russia, the ambassador of the republic to Russia, Jankee Kheswar, said on Sunday.
Russia is a big and influential country, and we want to actively cooperate with it," the diplomat said.

According to the ambassador, relations with Russia are also significant because Moscow was one of the first to conclude diplomatic relations with Mauritius.

He also highlighted that Mauritius is welcoming a growing number of Russian tourists as several Western countries have restricted air travel with Russia.
Kheswar added that Port Louis is trying to forge a strategy that would allow to welcome even more tourists from Russia and give them an opportunity to pay with Mir cards.

Joe biden will surely loose re-election with this Ukraine war.
Europe is in recession already and winter is about to make it a worse experience with the cost of gas rising almost daily.
As strange as this may sound, I think trump is the best Potus we've seen in recent times.
If the right step is not taken to curb the impending hardship knocking on America, I see a civil war breaking out soon.
Someone call Biden to order before it's too late.

Russia to go through with Ukraine operation despite NATO’s involvement - Kremlin

Russia capable of continuing military operation despite NATO’s support for Kiev, Dmitry Peskov told journalists.

NATO has in fact got involved in the conflict in Ukraine but it is in no way affecting Russia’s goals, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Rossiya-1 on Sunday.

"In fact, NATO has got involved in the Ukrainian conflict. However, it is in no way affecting our goals. That said, the operation will continue and we will go through with it," he said in an interview with the "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" TV program, part of which was posted on Telegram.

NATO’s assistance to Ukraine complicates the situation but Russia is still capable of continuing its special military operation, Kremlin Spokesman told journalists.

"Apparently, it is making us mobilize our economic and other forces. The Kiev regime is one thing but NATO’s potential is another thing. It means an additional burden. However, our potential makes us capable of continuing the operation in this situation," Peskov said in an interview with the "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin" TV program, part of which was posted on Telegram.

Central bank of G20 host rails against US dollar – media
The regulator wants to reduce reliance of the Indonesian financial markets on the greenback
Indonesia’s central bank has spoken out against the use of the US dollar in export-import transactions, and called for a switch to local currencies in international payments to reduce dependence on the greenback, news portal Tempo.co reported on Friday.
Strong US dollar is a headache – IMF

The US currency's surge is making other nations' fight against soaring inflation even harder, the global financial body suggests

As countries around the world struggle to bring down soaring inflation, the weakening of their currencies relative to the US dollar has made that fight even harder, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has said.

“As world interest rates rise, financial conditions have tightened considerably for many countries. A stronger dollar only compounds these pressures, especially for some emerging market and many low-income countries that are already at a high risk of debt distress,” the IMF said.

We can't blame Buhari for inflation in Nigeria.
De-dollarization is neccessary and in progress.

White House 'Disappointed' by Palestinian Leader's Remarks on Distrusting US - Reports
The White House is "deeply disappointed" Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas told Russian President Vladimir Putin that he had lost trust in the administration of the US President Joe Biden as a mediator in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Axios reported on Saturday, citing a spokesperson for the US National Security Council.
According to the news portal, Abbas held a meeting with Putin on the sidelines of the sixth Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia in Kazakhstan's capital city of Astana.
During the meeting, Abbas said that Washington could not mediate the crisis between Israel and the Palestinian National Authority, adding that he was satisfied with Russia's support of Palestine, Axios said.
A source told Axios that the US administration officials "were furious" over these remarks and communicated their resentment to Abbas’ advisers.
Meanwhile, Washington believes that Putin is not the type of international partner that Palestine needs to address the conflict with Israel, the news portal noted.

Liz Truss to Face New Market Turmoil After Sacking Kwarteng.
On Friday, UK Prime Minister Liz Truss replaced her close ally Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng with former Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, in a last-ditch effort to calm the markets, before reversing plans to scrap a rise in corporate tax, a key part of No 10’s mini-budget.
According to reports, Truss’ pledge that new Chancellor Jeremy Hunt will not make more U-turns “will do little to sooth market jitters”.
British Prime Minister Liz Truss has lost the support of her own party, whose members are now searching for ways to remove her from office, Politico reported on Friday. Truss is already the least popular PM in recent history, but ousting her may prove a challenge.

Her first month in office has been a tumultuous one. Inheriting an economy reeling from double-digit inflation and battered by a historic cost-of-living crisis following London’s sanctions on Moscow, Truss promised “growth, growth, growth,” but ended up crashing the British pound with a ‘mini-budget’ that doled out billions of pounds in tax cuts.

Truss was appointed to complete the term/tenure of her predecessor Boris Johnson that had been forced to resign.

Musk confirms he cannot fund Starlink's operation in Ukraine indefinitely

Earlier, CNN obtained a copy of a letter in which SpaceX notified the US Department of Defense that it would stop paying for the operation of the Starlink system in Ukraine and had no plans for providing Kiev with new terminals indefinitely

US businessman Elon Musk confirmed on Friday that his company SpaceX could not afford to continue to pay for the operation of the Starlink satellite communications system in Ukraine.

"SpaceX is not asking to recoup past expenses, but also cannot fund the existing system indefinitely and send several thousand more terminals that have data usage up to 100 times greater than typical households. This is unreasonable," Musk said on his Twitter page.
Earlier, CNN obtained a copy of a letter in which SpaceX notified the US Department of Defense that it would stop paying for the operation of the Starlink system in Ukraine and had no plans for providing Kiev with new terminals indefinitely. According to the broadcaster, the message also contained a request to the Pentagon for paying for the supply of additional Starlink terminals to Kiev, as well as for the system’s services provided to the Ukrainian authorities and military. Ongoing service costs would total $124 million for the remainder of 2022, CNN said.
