I applied for UK visiting visa for 2years to attend my graduation bear in mind i stayed for for 3years plus. However, i was granted six months and i went for the grad. Location
It is very important to take location serious when looking to rent or buy a home. You can live with almost any imperfection in a home if you love the area enough everything else can be changed.
from the way the house looks to the interiors and the landscaping,all this can be change but never the location. imagine if we can carry our houses with us. When you go house hunting, consider any potential home’s proximity to your work, the area(is it safe enough for kids,security etc), traffic, pets, and access to parks, shopping, schools, and public transportation.

What floors?
We need to take into consideration if we are buying or renting a flat what floor is good for us,mostly when you have kids and elderly ones. Parent with young ones and elderly ones should not buy or rent any thing starting from the 2nd floor. Mostly if the property doesn’t not have a lift.

Size
You must know the size of property that suits you,as a bachelor you don’t need a 3bedroom property,more like a mini flat or 2bedroom flat will do.
Do you really need 4 bedrooms and 4 baths when you live alone? A large home can give you the extra space But you’ll pay higher bills and Still not use them. It will take more furniture to furnish and money to decorate.
I believe family with kids should create rooms for the kids between the ages of 5years and 7years.

Kitchen
As an African woman the kitchen is quite an important place in the house,this is the room whereby you feed your family,guest,neighbors,you name it.
The kitchen is the heart of your home, don’t settle for a home with a kitchen that just won’t work. Cooking and singing works for some women,you need space to do that,it is usually hot in the kitchen,all those frying,baking,boiling etc. some men like to watch their women when cooking,you cant have him watch you if the kitchen is like a ant hole.
Gone are the days when my ex sits and watch me cook,he taste all the cookings before there are cooked. I would hid my fried chicken when I hear him coming. Ladies it’s an advantage to have a big kitchen

Closets and Store
This solely depends on what type of properties you have,i for one still have shoes from 5years. if you are the fashion trend type you really need a big closet(shoes,clothes etc) if you are the simple fashion type then a smaller closet will do.
If you have lots of sports equipment and holiday decorations, be sure you know where it will go in your new home. Some people prefer to turn a bedroom into a closet and gym so as not to occupy space in the living area.

Light and air
I have come to notice that some people don’t like to put their curtains up in the day time. you live on the pent house and you are complaining that you cant put you curtains up because the neighbors might see you. its a pent house you are up there. air the flat out,see light and mostly save energy.
how about privacy? Yes you can have both. the window blinds can be down while the curtains are up.
B) Know the type of lights you need around the house,from the electrical outlets and switches to the bulbs and chandeliers. remember too many light bulbs in a house generates heat.

Branding
Is it a property you can re-brand? Yes I said re-brand.
Small properties need bright colours,don’t buy a house where you can not change colors,add designs,re arrange your furnitures etc
