@ akby, u ar totally wrong by saying d cut off for elect-elect is 55 where we have only 27 candidate dat score above 50 and d carrying capacity of d elect-elect is 45. My dad is a senior lecturer @ dat department. Please stop giving fake news just to satisfy urself. No cut off has been decided yet. D school is still in a state of confusion on what step to take i.e reduce cut off or conduct another post utme.

The online submision of ur o'level and jamb result will come to an end tomorrow 14th of june while the processing and selection will commence immediately and names will be shortlisted on 22nd of june. If you are yet to pay @ d bank, u still have a day left. Please, study hard and pray because notin like RUNS and post utme EXPO in u.i See u guyz on top

@buyujesus, i will advice u go to d admission office to find out urself, and i also think u will have a better chance if ur b/f is @ dinstinction level. Gudluck!

I confirmed this from a reliable source dis morning. U.i is still using d 60:40 method of screening and students that choose d school dis year are not much like the previous years. Dis year cut off 4 some courses will be reduced but some will still be the same or even higher, e.g engineering course, medicine,economic,law and so on. The course will d lowest cut off will be vetenary medicine and Archaeology. Goodluck!

@oyedun82, having a valid utme combination simply means u have good utme subject combination and you are good to go. Some people are having wrong subject combination, Relax no problem about that.

u.i just updated their website just for you to know admission process will soon be on. U don't have to make any payment for now, please don't be in a hurry, just read your book and check the website once in 2days. Expect something from the school by this time next week. statistic can't work out 4 u, and dat ur point is too low. I will advise u make archaelogy your 1st choice coz i checked d statistic last week and ppl ar not much on archaelogy, they ar less dan 100. change ur second school of choice to another 4 u 2 av anoda chance. But we are still waiting for d outcome of d senate meeting on d 30th of dis month, who knows. Dey might change d system of admission has is has bin rumoured.

@osoola, d invitation cut off 4 psycho last year was 67. Notin lyk post utme cut off in u.i last year is only candidate with d highest score 4rm d post utme dat were given admission. E.g candidate 4 sociology dpt post utme score btw 32%-86% n there is only space 4 60candidate which were chosen 4rm 86%-56%. So, if u score 55% u r out. Study hard n pray. Gudluck!

I just want to congratulate u all. D first and best U.I has cancelled d o'level screening procedure last year december after the senate meeting. U.I admission dis year will be very competitive has everyone above 200 will be invited to come 4 d post utme. Dis wil b made known to you by august when u.i will commence her post utme. Please study hard to pass utme. Don't rely on expo.

@justice and beshiman, i gt d news from an HOD of a department in the school and also a call from ibadan confirmed that all hands is on deck for the release of the admission list and dat d list was delayed by jamb. So, stop throwing stone @ u.i. Watch out 4 d list soon. Goodluck!

U.I resumption date is now December 5. I believe d list will be out before monday. so, lets relax and keep praying and we will sure get there coz there is no sign that u.i is loading the website. just hang around with friends and have fun coz if u give urself hypertension now, how will u do ur registration. just bliv that u will be among the freshers going home 4 dis xmas break. My brother had 257 in jamb and b2 in math and econs, c6 in english and chemistry, and b3 in physics and biology and he wasn't shortlisted for the post utme. Now we all regret choosing u.i now that we know they don't give admission to the serious student despite my brother sleepless night. They give admission to the runs student. are they not promoting examination malpratice? Because student are now force to re write their exam in private school in other to have A1 Parrallel. Thank God for O.A.U.

@ denvers and kingbc, it doesn't matter if u've paid and gotten ur pin ready. though those awaiting dere result according to the web advert are not 2 pay until they av d result. i paid and received d pin last year july 2010 and i registered september 2010. so if u've gat ur 2k ready u can go and pay 4 d 1st choice and use it wen waec/neco comes out. U.I is a very considerate school, if waec/neco is not out, the admission can neva stopped. Goodluck!

please i choose u.i as my first choice and still awaiting my o'level result. can i go and pay @ the bank to get my pin ready before the release of the result? pls i need reply asap, thanks.

last year i got 293 in ume and i was denied of admission because all my o'level result were c's, and i was advised to register 4 another o'level exam which i did of recent and the result will be out by august. i used awaiting result in filling my ume form and now i score 230. i choose to study psychology in u.i. I just want to know if i will be admitted. thanks and God bless u.
