I have observed with kin interest that when LP win, it is the the good hand of justice, but when they loose it is either the judge is bribe or APC is doing abracadabra. Even in state they have no presence, it is idiot that choose another party.

Just read through comment above and see what I am saying

Realashbobby:
Dear Nairalander,

How do you cope with your life after your spouse failed you and took the whole matter to the worse level by seeking for divorce?

I woke up everyday of my life in the past nine months thinking about this man. I heard he has moved on in Lagos, while I am still here bothering myself about him. This is the only man I have ever known in my life. He just left without looking back not even to check on his son.
What can I do to forget him totally?

I am down emotionally and it's affecting me.

Kindly advise.

Hummm what has been 4ked can't be un4k. You will always remember him, for good and bad moment you had.

But the divorce, I guess, is good for both parties. He's your addiction and the fastest way to get out of one is to replace with another. Get yourself busy with something else, but once you see the boy everything will flash.

These people are like soccer player, once the release clause is triggered, the player that is kissing your barge will lead the team that will come to attack you at home.

My sorry is for those that put them on their head. They are business men and women no ideology. Only their stomach.

Politics / Re: The Military Regime Was Far More Better Than Democracy by tunwumi: 3:29am On Oct 30, 2023
Chicagograduate:
During the military government there was nothing like importation of petroleum products. Our local refineries were working fine.

Everything was cheap and affordable under the military until Abacha who was the military head of state died and Abdulsalam Abubakar who was his second in command took over and released Obasanjo who had been marked for execution for plotting a coup.

Tinubu who was a senator when shonekan was an interim civilian government went on exile when Abacha overthrew shonekan and he became an activist under NADECO and was using NADECO to criticise the then military regime of Abacha while on exile.

Abdulsalam Abubakar later released Obasanjo from prison and the north compensated the south with a presidential slot which Obasanjo became the president.

Obasanjo and his vice atiku sold all the government properties to their friends and that was where the proplems of Nigeria started.

Our refineries became Moribund and fuel was imported.A lot of money running into billions of dollars was budgeted for maintenance of our refineries but the money ended up in private pockets and nobody was prosecuted.

This made Obasanjo to be increasing the price of fuel in the name of subsidy removal.
He sold all government properties to his political associates.
Inflation increased, incessant strike from NLC under Oshiomhole each time Obasanjo removed fuel subsidy because the removal would create inflation.

Under ex president Jonathan government, petroleum marketers received billions from fuel subsidy in other to reduced the price of fuel but the oil marketers didn't import and supply the products after receiving payment.Committees were setup and some marketers were indicted, including Mike otedola's oil company.Up till now,no one is sent to jail or money recovered.

Many Nigerians don't know that Tinubu had a romance with the military dictatorship before he was forced out on exile. He had a romance with Abacha and benefitted from his government but because he was forced out of government he became an activist.
The problems Nigerians are facing is caused by democratic government who are the politicians that is why they keep saying that "The worst democracy is far more better than the military head of state. They have corruptly enriched themselves and want to continue to do so.

This is a confirmation that you are genz. Who imported the expired petrol to Nigeria if you know?

You have to understand that unlike political parties in the US, ours have no strong idealogies they tilt to. Peter Obi is the incorruptible one not LP and as long as hes not the president those LP lawmakers may not act differently from the rest. They got elected off his name and popularity and may have nothing really to offer just like the rest. Since they are in the minority, blending in will look nice to them

It means LP is a trash as well if they are blend of the same system. And for the saint Obi, too I am sure a tree don't make a forest. It would have been interesting to see how "saint" he can get. Smh

In the face of unprecedented hardship and poverty, Agbadorians who live in batcher houses and cannot afford one meal in a day would tell you;

*Let us join hands and pray and support this government.
*Now that Tinubu has won, let us wish the government well.
*Let us tighten our belt, it's not the fault of this present government.
*Giive the government a chance, they need time to fix the country.

I don't need to become a senator before effecting change. With this little I'm doing to keep the referenced to their initial starting point is enough if others that voted them can speak out about it and NLC and other civil society call an action against it.

You don't need LP to be 100% in the house to make a difference... Even apc can be different if the change is people driven. Strong institution is what we lack and as long as we have that in place things we never change and people will continue to exploit their weakness and that of our laws and use it against us. We have a foundational problem that have made it impossible to have a good head in power. If the head is rotten, the body too will smell.

That's exactly what I'm saying. If at least, few LP members we have now made a different stance, we can call for more and use them as the model. But they have disappear with the crowd in few weeks they are there. So what encouragement are they offering?

Define looting? If you work in a company amd your official pay is 20 million naira, can you call that looting? Did you make the law for the company to pay you 20 million? It is your official pay. Yes it is looting since they have called out those in office before on that ground.

Definition of morals is subjective as stated by John f Kennedy. What you see as morals to you may not be morals to another person.
Are you now saying LP moral definition is fluid so as to justify the looting called salary?

The pay of senator is not determined by LP house of rep members and rejecting the pay will not impact or change anything .
This shows you don't have enough information on who determines it. Salary and wages commission prescription is about 300% of their basic salary which is less than 7m but they opt for 160m which is over 3000%. How come not even 1 LP legislator can say this is illegal? Are you saying that majority can't be wrong?

If you want change then you must call out all senators after all they are representing humans like you. I am sure the senator representing you is not from LP party....lol. You never attacked the senator representing your constituency but you are attacking LP. Charity begins at home.

Funny enough the rep from my area is an LP member which we were all banking on that he's going to change the narrative but I was surprised that he's among the first set to receive the SUV.

That's is the moral. If you have read animal farm you will understand that LP member is behaving like Napoleon who are against Squealer but continue the same act and justify it with your explanation above.

Stop talking like a toddler. If labour party members refuse to collect, you will still come out and critise them.
This is what APC are doing using money for Subsidy to buy new cars worth billions in this dying economy. Removing subsidy but can't cutdown on government frivolous spending. While poor citizens suffer inflation.

The worst part is that you will still pay for the maintenance of this expensive cars through taxes.
Dey play!!.

But just like the APC shouted change then, we get nothing are you now affirming that LP as a party has no moral as well?

Nothing stopped them from being different. We have gotten example of people that will not participate in looting no matter the guise it is painted.

What do you expect them to do? Reject it and drive their own cars to their constituency? If your brother or father is the LP member and by law they have awarded them jumbo salaries....Are they supposed to reject the salaries? Who voted the other APC members and PDD members in the senate that have majority of the numbers? If Nigerians voted more APC members and PDP members in the senate and they are taking the cars and salaries? Why are you attacking the few labour's parry members that cannot change the laws ? Please oga go sleep because if your parents are the ones that won you will advice them not to be corrupt but rejecting what is official and not a corrupt proceeds doesn't make sense.
