EducationFor EE Students. by TutorVISTA(op): 12:21am On Aug 02, 2014
Are you a student or an aspiring student of Electrical Engineering? If yes. I have some really nice online resources for EE students that i want to share.

I did some digging online recently and found these resources for EE Students.
These sites are almost clandestine sites(not everyone knows about them)

I won't be giving them out here. To get them, you simply email me or find me on Twitter @philip_ohas.

REM: If you ignore this as a lie, i have nothing to LOOSE. I 'll just go on enjoying them.

Aggressive Lecturers

While in school, you will come across different lecturers with different ways of conveying their lecture to you.

Some of them might be friendly while some aggressive. The latter are feared by most students.

My advice to you is this. Do not be afraid of them. Approach them for questions. Their aggressiveness is a scheme adopted to make you pass their course.

When you get closer to them, you find that they are very FRIENDLY.

cutiedave: wow,dis sounds nice.bt i need ur advice on dis issue.
i got admitted into yabatech last yr to study mech.eng bt couldn't
resume bcus of d poly strike. Bt during d course of d stike,i obtained d
jamb form to study mech.eng in unilorin.recently i had to change to
mathematics bcus i dident meet mech.eng cutoff mark.
ma question is-should i continue with mech.eng in yaba or mathematics
in unilorin? And which has better job opportunities.tanx
Thank you @taiwolusol for your assistance.

Hi Cutiedave, your situation revolves around making choices. The strike by the polytechnics of which Yabatech was one of was what informed your decision not because you were doing badly with your course at Yabatech.

My Sincere Advice

Stay calm. Continue your Mech. Eng course at Yabatech. Don't go to Unillorin where you do not qualify to do what you love. Or do you love Mathematics? As far as i know, the career opportunities in Mech. Eng is so elaborate. You have a better chance of a good career in Mech.Eng.

TutorVISTA: By "forge", i mean you should mind your business. Do not spend your time worrying how other people and the choices they make. Instead think of how you can make your life work through the choices you make.

Hope this answered your question?
CORRECTION: It should read; Do not spend your time worrying about (Not "how" as in the first reply) other people and the choices they make.

Beware of Environmental Influences In Choosing a Career Path.

Where you live in, who you live with, your friends, your family and what they do and believe in can influence your career decisions.

You must have your own standpoint in choosing a career path. Sometimes, what you see people do or a career path being chosen by almost everyone in your neigborhood can make you think you should go for the same thing. NEVER DO THAT! Rather make up your mind on what you want, be different and forge you own path.

Influence your environment!

Hi lomaxx,

When choosing a career path.

The first step is to know yourself. It is important that you first identify your Interests, Skills, VALUES and Personal Preferences in order to make a well-informed decision.

Another step is to know your VALUES. Values are the things that motivates you and moves you toward certain decisions, behaviours and goals. VALUES greatly influence the career decision making.

Lomaxx, what are you naturally drawn to?

Your response will help us know what should be your most important MOTIVATION in choosing a career path.
