Pls show me a picture of one. The one I have, that costed me 12k can’t read DC current.

All multimeter can read DC current na you no Sabi the settings..you remove the red cable from Vma to ADC and set your meter A~..check YouTube for video

I don’t have a multimeter, it’s quite expensive. The meter I have can only measure voltages. And their voltages are ok so far so good.

Oga get yourself a multimeter..it is useful for many things not just solar....I got mine 4days ago at the rate of 6k in arena, in your area it can't be more then 7/8k....from my reading...am getting 4.5/5amp on my 200w africell panel...I did not focus on voltage cos am using pwd controller I only need 13/14 volts.

It’s a PWM charge controller that shows the readings.
This is from this morning:
Panel Reading by 9:00am
Twin Tech 12.5V 1.0Amp = 13.75Watts
Africell 12.5V 1.0Amp =12.5Watts
Parallel Connection 2.6Amp 12.9V =33.54Watts

Panel Reading by 9:26am
Africell 13.0V 1.8Amp = 23.4Watts
Twin Tech 12.9V 1.5Amp = 19.35Watts
Parallel Connection 2.9Amp 13.2V = 38.28Watts

This is way too low for a 360Watts panel. What could be the issue here?

but pwm controller does not show Amp naw it only show voltage...try to get a multimeter and read the amp directly from panel...the two panel cant be bad.. this morning am getting 5.1 amp from my 200w africell panel
secondly 9am is too early try it around 11am

Yes they re both 12/20V panels with max current of 10. However the highest current I get from their parallel connection is around 4.5Amps-5Amps. The highest voltage is 14.8Volts.

I just did a quick test on both Panels separately around 4:50pm today. Here are my observations:

Africell 13.5V, 1.1Amp = 14.85Watts
Twin Tech 13.5V, 0.9Amp = 12.15Watts
Parallel connection of both 13.6V 1.6Amp = 21.76Watts


The connection should have given me 27Watts, but I’m getting 21Watts, which is very bad. What do you think of the whole thing?

are you sure your multimeter is okay?, the problem might be from cable...disconnect the cable and read from panel directly... you should get nothing less then 4/5amp from each panel

Panel orientation, air flow, and cable length are super keys to output generation. My test pv of 190w bought used few years output average of 7a on a good sunlight. Pv : 38v 10a max and surprisingly during September before this dusty days, I experienced 9.7,9.8 and 9.9a max. I was surprised to see this though that I had to use a clamp meter to confirm and it was affirmative......Keeper's series powmr 20a mppt.

pls what is the name of the panel cos am trying to get another panel this weekend and secondly do you mean 18v 10a? cos 190w cant get 38v 10a

Africell and Twintech, 180watts each. Connected in parallel.

am using one 200w africel and am getting 5A,....so i expect the 2panel should give you 11A in series......pwm controller is okay for 12/20v panel but it is a waste for 36/42v panel cos the excess voltage is waste....if your panel is 36/42v i will advise you to go with mppt.
