Why am I comparing it to 2014 in USD? Because it helps us understand the actual value of the money.

For example, if your salary was N35,000 in 2014 and it could afford you 1 bag of rice in 2014, if you’re now earning N70,000 in 2025 but it can’t afford 1 bag of rice, then it means that while your salary increased, it has much lower value than when you earned N35,000.

So all the lectures on the internet about Nigeria subsidizing the dollar with over N1400 in the past did not get to you or you are trying to be smarter by half!
