Omehia hails process as Peaceful By Davies Iheamnachor The Minister of Transportation and the leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in South-South, Chibuike Amaechi, has just voted at his unit 14, ward 8, Ubima Community, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.



Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi voting in Ward 8, Unit 14, Ubima in Ikwerre LGA of Rivers State Amaechi, who described the process as peaceful, accused the electoral umpire, INEC, of bias, stressing that the Residence Electoral Commissioner in the state is working to deliver the governor of the state. He commended the security agencies for adequate mobilisation, noting that this is the first time people of the state are voting without fear or intimidation. However, former governor of the state, Sir Celestine Omehia has hailed the process as peaceful, stating that there was peace at the units in his area. Omehia spoke after voting at his unit 16, ward 8 of Ikwerre LGA, expressed fears that the calmness witnessed may be thwarted by some politicians in the area, calling for the sustenance of peaceful to allow results of the poll count.
