I don't speak for my Ika alone because in the Anioma cultural groups I belong to, people from Enuani are majority and they don't see themselves as Igbo. Go to Anioma Facebook groups also and you'll get a clue how majority of it's members are Enuani and don't see themselves as Igbos. Majority of Enuani clans have Bini, Igala and Igbo origin almost evenly distributed. Even Asaba, Illah and many neighboring villages are Igala. are Even the precious Ogwashi Uku you're talking about has Bini aborigines which is the Ikelike people according to Ogwashi intelligence report. I'm not a Bini man you fool. Ika as well as other Aniomas have good relationship with Bini. Obi of Isele Uku that went to see the Oba before coronation is not an Ika king
total gibberish. So ur source of confirmity is a facebook group? Are you dumb or what?
So the likes of Pat utomi, Achuzie, Elumelu, Pa Okonjo our obi, even Asagba of Asaba etc who are pro-Igbo are not a confirmity to you.
Listen up, Even in the midst of binis, Ikas are like slaves and intruders to them. Many ikas are descendants of Runaway Benin Slaves who escaped. I have the documents to back this up.
Forget this thrash of concorted history u bini slaves parade around.
Keep it in ur Ikaland. An Ogwashi ukwu man is a freeborn, we are not battling with inferiority complex like you guys.
Speak for urself and ur irrelevant ikas. Thanks

All I see in you is double standard. You're quick to deny that you're not Bini despite speaking an Edoid language while labeling Anioma Igbos because some parts of Anioma speak Igboid languages. Even after explaining to you how much different we are from them. 11 languages are spoken in Anioma. Even your Urhobo and Isoko are spoken in some places around Ukwani. . Yoruba, Igala and little Esan in some Enuani areas and Agbor Kingdom speaks two languages (Ika and Edo ) distributed among the 11 villages. 2 local government areas in Edo have lots of Ika speaking communities. If you're ignorant about Anioma please learn now. And please when responding to these Igbos don't mention Anioma. We've said it time without number that Anioma is a Nation with many closely related tribes ethnic groups. So please respect yourself and heed my advice.
pls next time speak for your ika people alone, my ogwashi ukwu and the whole Aniocha/Oshimili are not interested in ur benin crap. I am a proud Delta-Igbo, my ogwashi ukwu have nri root. Speak for urself, benin slave
I see how desperate you are to lick benin ass due to inferiority complex, you are still like a slave to them.
Benin know themselves, continue to deceive yourselves but leave the Aniochas out of it.. We know our roots.
That guy you quoted is an urhobo
Urhobos, Itsekiris, Binis, Isoko, Ijaws see and address ikas as Igbos.
That is how it will be forever.
Keep ur identity crisis in ikaland, we don't want it in Aniocha or Oshimili.
@Fratermathy. Nice comment, ignore those Igbos and this benin slave wannabe that I quoted.

People are getting worked up for nothing. If you don't like how they operate, define the way forward, back it up with action, or forever be silent.
A good number of Ikwerre people in IPOB worked so hard to have PH as the base of the agitation.
It is a temporary move, it has been moved from Enugu to Aba to Onitsha/Nkpor and now to PH.
What this decision means is that they get to pick a closer location for May 30 remembrance, possibly Obigbo areas. After that it moves on somewhere else.
continue to deceive urselves.

This is useless ranting. The original name of Portharcourt is "Igu-Ocha" which many now write as "Igwe-Ocha" although both words are pronounced the same. What is wrong in people using the original name of the land? Is 'Portharcourt' an African name?

As for those who are angry about IPOB making Igweocha their base, whats wrong with that? Igweocha or Portharcourt used to be in the Republic of Biafra anyway.

Biafra has never been just about just Igbos. The last president of Biafra, General Philip Effiong, was not Igbo.

The name 'Biafra' was suggested as the name of the breakaway Republic by Frank Opigo, and Ijaw man and former Headmaster of Okrika Grammar School.

I do not expect all the minorities to like the issue of Biafra but I expect them to support a referendum where everyone can choose their future.
Old Eastern region is gone, Phillip Effiong being Ojukwu no.2 means nothing.
Stop living in delusion, Did Rivers state government asked you Igbos to change the name of portharcourt?
The minorities are not asking for Refrendum and NO REFRENDUM will take place on their land.

You see, when a group lack defined leadership and clear cut agenda, they will en ip disoriented and rubbished in the end.

You pick PH that is not supposed to be part of the Biafra land originally as headquarters of the group and you expect others to take you seriously?

Charity they say begins at home. But for Biafra, their charity begins Abroad!!!
You nailed it. I can smell a violent protest against this IPOB Decision warming up.
If you suggest something to them, they will rain insults on you.

I am currently in portharcourt for a conference and the news of IPOB declaring portharcourt as their official base is circulating.
why are Igbos bringing embarrasment to Igbos?
I overheard that many kalabaris, okrikas, ikwerre, ogonis etc want to protest against it.
As a Delta-Ibo, truth be told, I can see why some of my anioma brethrens deny being Igbo.
You need to see the insult being throwed at Igbos just because of ipob activity in portharcourt.
Rivers state governor is NOT a Biafra supporter, why constituting nuisance in his state?
IPOB has changed Portharcourt name to Igweocha, how do you expect the minorities like Ogoni to feel, atleast Portharcourt is all they have to call their city by virtue of being Rivers indigene.
why are Igbos behaving this way?
This declaration of Portharcourt as IPOB Official base is wrong and should be condemned.
Move it to any south east city and avoid unnecessary misunderstanding.
Thanks.
