lrguru:That's in the early 2000's. It has been discontinued long ago. |
nurey:Delusions. Volks has got speed and agility alright like BMW. However it's lacking behind in technology, comfort, ride quality, safety features and prestige. The Mercedes S class is the world's standard for luxury and comfort. |
MsDelilah:Why the older model? Doesn't deliver most Mercedes trademark of today which is a striking balance of speed, comfort and agility |
TheUmbra:Read the first post. No one is against chatting. What is frowned at is indiscriminate fraternisation and idle fawning on members. These members later seek favour from mods in banning other members later on. As a mod it isn't breaking any law but ethics and common sense frowns at it. |
RaDaZaBaNa:The scenario are directly similar. Refusing to be drawn into the thick of things in order not to becloud your judgement. RaDaZaBaNa:Who told you he is aware? Dude is so busy in the atheist section and checking traffic. RaDaZaBaNa:Oh, boy get your facts right. Seun makes one or two comments and disappears. Even in religion section, his most featured place in Nairaland, he makes a point and doesn't seek to fraternise. There was a time early on in Nairaland when he used to engage like mynd does and he later saw the futility of it and stopped. RaDaZaBaNa:Comparing mynd to zuckerberg is mind bugging and horribly disturbing. RaDaZaBaNa:If your memory still holds its remembrance, the dude opened a thread here in Romance section which was poorly received by the generality of members, he didn't only pull down the thread , but gave every single one 1-3 months ban. It behoves therefore that someone with such impulsive disposition should refrain from mixing up in a deeper level. Lala used to be very active here too until he saw the bigger picture and became a true professional. Now he, like fynesboiy and other mods made contribution when need arose without fraternisation. Simply put a mod should have a sort of window or boundary to avoid partisanship and the temptation to become biased. |
RaDaZaBaNa:That's out of the question ,of course. Certain position/duties come with sacrifices and responsibilities. Ever watch the Premier League and you see the stadium security personnels standing with thier backs against the field watching the spectators , completely oblivious of the goings on on the field of play? Aren't they humans? It is called discipline and professionalism. That's why you won't get most mods dropping down low. |
Mynd44:Yes Christmas and New year are often always booked and squeezing out time for other functions is often tasking. Might I make a suggestion by the side? I think you're the most controversial moderator in Nairaland's history and as an umpire and Judge, it is really not appropriate for you to be seen engaged in idle chats with ordinary members. It will only lead you to bias judgments and decisions later. If it hasn't already. I think you're the only moderator who is wont to descend from your 'high stool' to chat with ordinary members and leave controversial comments like the female cooking stuff you just addressed to the OP. Those who oppose it will score bad in your books inevitably. Yes fraternising with members here leaves you open to bias judgment. There are over 6 supermods and 10 ordinary mods, but you're the only one seen strutting about in all sections engaged in chats like an ordinary member. Thanks. I hope this doesn't warrant a ban by you though, just saying my piece. |
louqas:Indeed!!! You just implicitly admitted you know absolutely nothing about the judiciary or its function. |
