PoliticsFayose Slams FG Over Hiring Of Malaysian Economic Experts For N458m, Says; “buha by Valarmoghulis(op): 8:29pm On Nov 19, 2017
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has questioned the rationale behind the Federal Government’s hiring of consultants from Malaysia with the sum of N458 million to help Nigeria build her economic capacity, saying; “the federal government’s action is a clear vote of no confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari’s government and economic experts in the country.” Fayose The governor, who said; “it is shameful that Nigeria, which produced the likes of African Development Bank (ADB) President, Dr Akinwumi Adesina; Treasurer and Vice President of the World Bank, Mrs Aruma Otteh; Independent Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered Plc, United Kingdom, Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Professor of Political Economy, Pat Utomi; among others is now paying people from Malaysia to revive its economy.” In a statement issued on Sunday, and signed by Special Assistant to the governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said “out-sourcing consultancy for the conduct of study that would aid the implementation of the National Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) is tantamount to telling Nigerians that they all lack capacity to govern their own country.” He asked; How can you hire foreign consultants that would work for 13 weeks to conduct a study on how to revive the economy of a country like Nigeria and pay the consultant N458 million?” Governor Fayose said he had said it several times that the APC government of Buhari lacked clue as to how to solve our country’s economic problems, adding that; “Now they have just confirmed that truly, they are clueless.” He said; “By hiring economic experts from Malaysia, President Buhari and his men have confirmed that they have no capacity to govern this country. “It was the cluelessness of the Buhari’s government that made the exchange rate that was N197 to $1 as at May 29, 2015 rise to as much as N500 to $1 before it came down to about N370 to $1. Today, official rate is N305 to $1. “It was this same cluelessness that made one bag of rice that was N7,000 as at the time Buhari took office to rice to as much as N22,000 and made more than 25 states to be unable to pay workers salary regularly owing to dwindled revenue from the federation account. “According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), an agency of the federal government, the number of unemployed Nigerians rose from 7.51 million at the beginning of October 2015 to 11.19 million at the end of September 2016! This was caused by Buhari’s government cluelessness. “Like I have said before, President Buhari and his men do not know what to do. It is therefore left for Nigerians use their votes to show Buhari and his APC the way out of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in 2019.”

Politics13 Sans Only Difference Between President Buhari, Kaduna’s Certificateless Teach by Valarmoghulis(op): 8:07pm On Nov 19, 2017
First of all, let me seek the permission of my readers to invent a new word. The word certificateless does not exist in the English dictionary. I invented it due to the peculiar situation we find ourselves in in Nigeria.

The word is created to be a noun which simply means the absence of a certificate in a situation where a certificate is required. For instance, both President Muhammadu Buhari and the 20,000 Kaduna state teachers in the midst of Nasir El-Rufai’s brouhaha are certificateless.

I will start this saga with a true story.

In Edo history, there existed a particular Oba who lived for a very long time. Now his edaiken (first son and heir apparent) was growing tired of waiting for the throne, so he sent his father a calabash with ash in it. His father got the message and sent back the calabash but this time, he mixed the ash with honey, indicating to his son that life was still sweet ave he was not ready to quit the scene.

I am a deep political animal. I do not believe that local Kaduna issues are all that has led to the brouhaha of El-Rufai’s threat to sack 20,000 teachers that failed a primary four test and are thus certificateless.

I think that El-Rufai, who has styled himself as magajin Buhari sees himself as something like an edaiken.

You may ask, what type of subliminal message is Nasir El-Rufai passing to Muhammadu Buhari by threatening to sack 20,000 teachers without CERTIFICATES?

Think about it! If a teacher cannot teach without certificate, is it a President that can preside without certificate?

The threat is El-Rufai’s calabash of ash to Buhari and Nigerians in the know are waiting for Buhari’s response.

Be that as it may, The 13 SANs defending President Buhari in his certificate issue should be prevailed upon to also defend the 20,000 Kaduna teachers facing sack. After all, their cases are the same!

And on Monday the 13th of November 2017, the Presidency released a statement declaring that President Buhari supports El-Rufai’s plans to sack the certificateless teachers.

The only difference between President Buhari and the 20,000 Kaduna teachers whose sack he endorsed is that the Kaduna teachers don’t have the money to hire 13 SANs. What is the difference between Buhari and those teachers? Who has a certificate between them? Do these people have any shame at all?

How can Nigeria progress when we sack teachers for not having certificates and install Presidents who don’t have certificates?

It is rather like a company saying a messenger without WASSCE is unqualified meanwhile its MD is in the same boat. How will the company be profitable? You cannot fight certificatelessness in primary school teachers and promote certificatelessness for a second term. Make up your mind. It is either you are fine with certificatelessness or you are not!

Certificateless teachers teach kaduna children and you are not surprised when they fail. Certificateless President runs your economy and you are surprised when it fails? Can zero plus zero ever equal more than zero?

And the President’s certificatelessness has reverberated beyond Nigeria. He is not considered as someone to be reckoned with in Nigeria by his peers on the continent.

African leaders even respect Rochas Okorocha more than President Muhammadu Buhari. They fly into Nigeria, go straight to Imo to see Rochas and check out without ever going to Abuja. Could such a thing have happened under Presidents Obasanjo, Yar’Adua or Jonathan? That is how irrelevant President Buhari has become even in his own country.

And why will they not think that the President is a joke? A man without certificate who is so backward in his thinking that after former President Jonathan opened the floodgates for women combatants to join the Nigerian Army, this Stone Age despot that we fall a President unilaterally overturned the policy ostensibly because Northern Muslim leaders are opposed to women serving in the military.

Can we be surprised about this action from a man who believes women belong in the other room?

And that rightly named Lai Mohammed had the guts to say that President Buhari is cleaning up the Peoples Democratic Party’s Augean Stable. Really?

Which PDP mess is President Buhari cleaning exactly?

* Cleaning ₦87 fuel for ₦145 fuel

* Cleaning ₦199 to 1$ for ₦375 for $1

* Cleaning ₦8k bag of rice for ₦18k bag

* Cleaning ₦1k bag of cement for ₦4k bag of cement

* Cleaning women combatants from army?

I mean the facts speak for themselves.

And in the midst of the economic chaos that President Muhammadu Buhari has unleashed on Nigeria, his number one priority is not finding out why the United Nations has projected that Nigeria will have more people in extreme poverty than India by February of 2018 even though India has eight times our population.

The President is in re-election mode and has shifted focus from governance (not that he was ever focused on that account).

His latest re-election gimmick is to visit a Southeast that he had never once visited before as President. But the President is making a big miscalculation if he thinks he can buy the support of the Igbos for his re-election.

What the Igbos need is not a Presidential visit. They need to be included in government. There isn’t a single Igbo man heading any of the military or paramilitary forces in Nigeria. They are all headed by Northern Muslim men, except one (Navy) headed by a SouthSoutherner.

The Army, Air Force, Police, Customs, Immigration and Prisons are led by Northern Muslim men. Only the Navy is led by a Southerner. That is why the policy allowing women combatants was almost scrapped by Armed Forces Council but for the mass protest it prompted, because the North opposes it and the South, which supports it, is underrepresented.

The Buhari administration is a thoroughly discredited government whose focus should be to help the President pack his load and move back to Daura to tend to his cows that never increase in number rather than this focus on his re-election.

This is why I was rather surprised at the surprise of the Ikoyi whistleblower that he had not been paid.

That Ikoyi whistleblower should have known better than to expect the Buhari administration to keep their promise to him. Have they kept their promise to Nigerians? If they can’t keep that one is it his they will keep?

In fact, some of the mad people you see on the streets may just be whistleblowers who blew the whistle for the EFCC. You never know. You just never know!

Now I understand why The Buhari administration has refused to fulfill its campaign promises. It is not their fault. Just like the Ikoyi whistleblower, they do not want us to get mad if we see too many fulfilled promises. For example, PDP fulfilled too many promises and we got mad and voted for APC! President Buhari is preparing for re-election and does not want that type of madness again!

And as the 75 year old President Buhari surreptitiously kicks off his re-election campaign, he should not test the Nigerian people, who have borne the weight of his unprecedented misrule, too much.

What we want from him, even if he intends to run in 2019, is a free and fair election.

Already, we are seeing the business interests of likely rivals being dealt a massive blow. If their contracts with the Federal Government are not being illegally canceled then expatriate quotas are being revoked. This in a country screaming that it wants foreign investments.

Saudi Arabia has a 32 year old Crown Prince who is fighting corruption, growing the economy and has now allowed women to drive while Nigeria has a 75 year old (allegedly) President who has ruined the economy while pretending to fight corruption and has no single youth in his cabinet! Different strokes for different folks!

Reno’s Nuggets

When European Christian missionaries came to Africa, they built schools that our parents and grandparents attended for free. When today’s churches build schools, even their own church members, whose offerings built the schools, can’t afford to send their children there. My own father, who was not a Catholic, was educated by Irish Catholic priests FOR FREE at their school. Come on people. Let us get back to that old time Christianity that was first about service to God and humanity. Church schools may not be free, but they should be affordable for believers #RenosNuggets

One Other Thing

I may not be a Catholic, but I commend @Pontifex Pope Francis, for donating the $200k Euro Lamborghini he was blessed with to charity. Can other spiritual leaders take a cue from this?

To fall in love is the ignition phase of a collective movement consisting two people.

It is often believed that, it is better to risk saving a guilty man than to condemn an innocent one especially when one is responsible for a wrong action; it is only through the power of love this believe can be achieved.

Love is the only method to be adopted in saving the guilty hence taking risk, but is it always the case to risk love for one who continually defiles the content of it leaving one in pain?

It is of no disputable fact that love is beautiful but how will a guilty soul express his or her love when they articulate words which constantly contradict their feelings?

It is indeed possible to love someone yet be responsible or guilty of the person’s pain.

Love is said to be a tender affection one feels for somebody.

Some believe

it is an obsession whileothers think that it is a beautiful jinx.

Love is harder than any pain a person has felt. Love can cause an in-depth pain one cannot conceal and even though one tries to bounce back by putting the pieces back together, he or she may look intact but will never be quite the same as he or she was before the fall.

Many may have experienced several heights of love but is this tale of love any different from that Lois’ love story. It could be certain that several others can perfectly relate with that of Lois and Michael’s story.

Couples come together with the aim to provide companionship for each other but there are times when the companionship becomes sour and unbearable causing a deepened pain.

It was Lois’s dream to be a good companion to her dream man. A woman beyond measure and thus

be a cynosure to all and sundry.

She patiently worked towards realizing being a woman of substance and worth emulation thus dreamed and wished her marital life would be cozy and rosy; and perhaps would be taken to a different pedestal.

She had a fine picture of what exactly her family would look like and prayed earnestly for such a family. Little did she know that such a fantasy only existed in the wonderland.

Lois had a smooth sail through her childhood life through to adulthood where she was encountered challenges especially in her love life.

She met a man whom she thought best fit her criteria and thus made him her partner for life. This man was a man Lois referred to as the Sweetness.

He brought so much joy and happiness to Lois. His name is Michael but the persistent love shown to him by Lois made all and sundry forget

his name and called Sweet as Lois called him. Lois was virtually crazy about him and so obsessed with him.

Lois was pre-occupied with the mindset of one thought, desire and image which led to useless pondering and thinking over the unrealistic. Even though it is believed that obsession towards one’s dream and goals is always a healthy feeling, obsession towards one love interest can be fatal.

This reality is what Lois could not come in terms with. She possessed an obsessed mind which was a hyper-active mind and could not stay at peace since all the time her obsessed mind is fixated on thinking about its obsession.

Growing up, her mother incessantly iterated to her hearing that, “obsessed people cannot stay relaxed and calm” especially knowing the full personality of Lois.

Everything was well as Lois fantasied

when she was a child until she encountered trouble in her marriage. For once she wanted to throw in the towel especially knowing that Michael’s behavior has altered.

She felt her marriage was in shambles and gradually going down the drain but what made her keep up with the striving mentality to stand for her marriage was the spirit of obsession. Lois noticed the change in the behavior of Michael. She realized Michael’s love for her has grown cold and virtually nothing could be done to revive it. Her sole wish was to win Michael’s love once again, but all efforts proved futile.

Michael led Lois in total agony leaving to work out her pain. In the spare of Lois’ pain and agony, she muttered under a deep breath saying “I won't ever leave you, even though you are always leaving me.”

She persistently fought for Michael but he

was reluctant to her any attention. For once, Lois regretted having even imagined her marriage life during her childhood days and hated facing reality.

In deep thoughts, Lois could not forgive herself and she whispered to herself almost tearing up that: “sometimes life has a cruel sense of humor, giving you the thing you always wanted at the worst time possible.”

This, everyone would agree with Lois.

Michael’s total turnover caused an extreme bewilderment in Lois. Michael could be tagged as an extremist because he did everything Lois abhors to its peak. Lois was tolerant through it all. Michael felt Lois obsessive thus needed freedom to live his own pleasing way of life. Lois tried to meet her very to make Michael happy but in turn made Lois a saddened being.

Lois as a wife witnessed her man go hungry not because

Lois refused to cook but rather was reluctant to eat from Lois’ pot.

Michael continually resisted Lois and her cooking skills which eventually became nothing to talk about. The mere fact of Lois seeing her man go hungry quickened her to cook for him and even with that he rejects the food made.

He refers to eat noodles made of his own skills than eat any food prepared by his wife. This made Lois aggrieved in her marital home.

It could be speculated that, most of her friends had a nicer marital life especially when the men cordially cooperate with their life partners. Michael often returned home late leaving Lois worried and sleepless thus making food prepared for him go waste.

One thing Lois yearned for was Michael’s affection but Michael showed none to her.

Lois in aim of trying to execute her home duties as a good

wife made him a meal even though it was not so sumptuous.

She took a long while to prepare the meal. This meal was the last meal she prepared for him. Her earnest prayer was to get Michael eat the food she took her time to prepare. The dish Lois prepared apparently happens to be Michael’s favorite meal.

After the food preparation, her man was not home yet.

She laid down in earnest expectation to have her man come back on time. Her face grew pale as days passed because of the pain and agony she was experiencing. Her eyes dimmed and countenance looked gloomy as she pictures how her marital life was treating her. It was not be wrongly said if one speculates that she had grown slender and pale.

Her depression in her marriage has led to a total shut down in some part of her life making her assume a negative position in all things.

As she laid down on the bed waiting for her man, she suddenly felt the great entrance of her husband. Her husband on returning was not of a different behavior in terms of manners. He rudely spoke to her wife causing her more and severe heartaches.

It will be of no other opinion than to accede to the fact that when all is said and done, grief is the price we pay for love.

Lois was attitudinally maltreated and brutalized by Michael with no remorse. Lois still hoping that her marital life will be silky as expected sat carefully watching the actions of Michael upon his arrival.

Lois with the exceptional quality of being courteous invited her husband to the table to eat his favourite meal. This obviously was something Michael least expected especially when he had openly and explicitly showed his heartbreaking behavior

towards Lois.

He turned suddenly to Lois and grinned in a mockery way drew nigh to Lois and whispered in her ear words of pain and heartache.

Lois wishing to retaliate tightened her fist with glare reddened eye fixed on Michael but her actions were nothing to talk about since it did not have a feel of it being realized. His action was thus expected but not to this extent. Michael’s action was emotionally brutalizing but Lois kept the faith of being a committed and loyal wife.

One could attest to the fact that Lois level of servitude and meekness could render several accolades to her name in this 21st Century because such women are hard to find especially with implementation of laws concerning right of women and the immense thumbs raised for feminism. Also, it is of every man’s dream to be with lady like Lois who will

cascade her avalanche love on them.

Michael making such cutting comments to Lois sat behind the food glaring at the dim face of Lois. He knew deep within that his action could lit up the face of Lois. He knocked on the table several times to draw Lois’ attention to what the fact that he was about eating her food. It was flash surprise as Lois thought he would not even temper with food, something he never does. This suddenly lit up Lois’ face as she looked at him.

Within Lois, it could be said that she had in the long while felt at peace even though she least knew it would be short lived. Michael took the side spoon and dished the food only to drop in to a small bowl jokingly to irritate Lois. Lois was so downhearted after such a behavior from Michael.

Michael then turned his wife said to her “this food is disgusting

and never in any way will I eat such a food. Even dogs would reject this kind of food”.

Lois felt a sharp pain across her palpitating heart filled so much anguish and agony. Michael then swept the food on the table directly on her slightly pale white face leaving her no other option than to muster courage to use piercing and harsh on him. She blurted out all her anguish and finally iterated how ungrateful has been to her.

She said “For seven years, have you eaten the meal I cook”?

Michael in angry mood rebuked her utterance and had her keep mute. This pushed Lois put total state of perplexity and total confusion, putting her mindset into shackles.

Her face grew paler as Michael outpoured such unadorned words on her.

TIME TO PONDER

What happens when you love someone wholeheartedly yet gain nothing but hatred back?

What happens when you continually yearn for one’s love yet he or she always referred you to the terms and conditions attached to the relationship?

Should love always bring us pain? What happens if you marry someone you do least find attractive?

How do you treat one you barely have feelings for you yet married to him or her?

Most at times people use the circumstances surrounding their dream life partner to trap them hoping that they will eventually love them back since they are now attached to them, but that is not always the case. Sometimes the love grows bitter especially when one partner feels he or she is in the marriage because it is only a contract.

What is your reason for getting married? Can you relate your story with that of Lois and Michael’s or your story differs? Love is beautiful and the most fascinating

story but is it always the case that is fascinating. If not, then how do you a term a story full of agony and hatred yet some fraction of love remains in it. The story continues.
