Picture number one ....The La towers were stopped by AMA and the geological survey department because the building is just sitting on sand and threatened by strong waves, the developer falsified papers and so the building has to be demolished. ( if they didn't have money as you claim, they won't even start)

Picture 2 - This is a Colonial era hotel from Kwame Nkrumah's days, ships crew used to lodge in this hotel during the 60s. It was closed down some years back as it became unsafe and placed on a list of buildings for demolition.

Picture 3 - the owner of the property is dead and his kids have decided not to continue with the property. It was going to be the biggest hotel in Takoradi.

Ghanaians simply do not have the financial capability to erect skyscrapers. Stop the lies against innocent Ama. Had it been what you are saying is true,trust me,Accra would have been filled with high-rise like Dakar since they can't go higher to skyscrapers level. You all would have maximised your peak heights to build a well levelled city of about 10stories competing with each other for space but no we see bungalows, and abandon low rise everywhere.

Is it building permits that makes all these low rise uncompleted since ages?

Compared to anything in Ghana, we are miles ahead. You structures are a dead joke. Just see, laugh and mock. Wonder no more why every country here considers Ghana a butt of joke, from kazikazi to the least kenyan or Ethiopian here. Look around, no body dey rate una. Accept the truth like that your brother choasmagus and seek solution, instead of living in delusion and seeking other coping mechanisms to live. Take this as an advice .

It’s simple, your buildings are generally always ugly. The lack the aesthetics and beauty that should come with it. You guys are always very basic and mediocre. Urban development is really not your thing. Stick to providing peace and stable electricity, that is something you seem to be excelling in.

lol, both Lagos and accra has height restriction. Lagos is just a few meters above sea level, a sandy soil formation and also among sinking cities.


Out height restriction is actually 100m. U should see we're beating that by few meters in some permitted areas, and of course, with close observation of pile foundation.

And away from that, I thought u Ghanaians always agree skyscrapers aren't a yardstick for development. Why the sudden reproach against Nigeria in that regard?

Why can't you build one in Takoradi, or Kumasi? What's the reason for proposing one when they certainly know the earthquake will devour it? FYI, the strength of any Skyscraper depends on the foundation laid. Most of them are built to withstand mild earth tremors, So no excuse for Accra. Also, I have never seen/heard of any death-dealing earthquakes anywhere in Accra . Nairobi is even more susceptible to Seismic hazards than Accra.

The last time as checked from the quoted reply, the verbal acumen was still giving some extreme dunderness — but DON'T WORRY! Things will be fine. It takes a fortune of time and commitment to solidify intellectual acumen.

Anyhow, tell us about the almighty Accra. The last time I checked, Accra was the most developed city just after SA in sub-Saharan Africa ~ from the hobbit's perspective. I just want to confirm with you if this chest-beating allegation is true. Hold on, I also checked that for the first time, Ghana is finally going to have at least one skyscraper , is this true or the answer will be "skyscrapers are of no big deal & we don't celebrate them like the kenyans do?"
