During the 2016-17 academic year, the 10 colleges and universities listed below gave out the most financial aid to their international students. Keep in mind, however, that these schools are also very expensive, prestigious, and selective.

If you plan to apply to one of the schools on this list, you’ll probably want to apply to other schools as well— ones with higher acceptance rates. Out of everyone who applies to universities such as Harvard or Yale, only about 5 or 6 percent actually get in.

Minna- National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the June /July 2018 senior secondary school certificate examinations (SSCE) with 71 percent of the candidates making five credits and above including English Language and Mathematics.

Similarly, 90.5 percent scored 5 credits and above, irrespective of English language and Mathematics. In a Press statement signed by the acting Registrar/Chief Executive of the Council, Alhaji Abubakar M.Gana also revealed a drastic decrease in this year examination malpractices.

Gana said about nine thousand of the candidates that registered for the examinations did not sit for the papers. According to him,”a total number of 1,041,536 registered for the examination while 1,032,729 sat for the examination.”

“Comparative analysis of candidates with 5 credits and above including English language and Mathematics for 2017 and 2018 shows 70.85 percent for 2017 and 71.48 percent for 2018, showing an increase of 0.63 percent in 2018”, the registrar said.

A "Batch A" 2018 NYSC Member, Samuel Rufus serving in Ataba, Andoni LGA of Rivers state allegedly drowned when he went swimming with his friends. According to reports, on the 12th of June, Samuel and his friends were conveyed to the swimming location by a boat, but while returning, the boat capsized and he drowned. His corps was found three days later and was buried yesterday. May his soul rest in peace.
