The Acura by default is the the Luxury line of the Honda, so in a nutshell Any Acura TL is always a better option than the Accord/Civic e.t.c of same year.

Just look at it man, you'd be convinced it's far better than the EOD, even a 2005 Acura TL is better than the 2007 EOD.
Compare this wih the EX trim of the 2008 EOD and we can have a proper discussion smiley

Someone is just trying to create attention to himself!

i thought that over and over and over again this issue of salvage had been discussed on this forumhuh
I guess that's what you do regularly to stay alive, Fortunately for me, we're not of the same kind smiley

rebony:
please wwheelz define the term "Salvage Title","Total Loss"

cause it seems you just going round and round on one issue, when there is no issue!

LETS PUT THINGS STRAIGHT,IF A DEALER PROVIDES A VIN ON A CAR HE/SHE WANTS TO SELLER,THNE THAT ALONE IS HONESTY.

The rules on this forum is simple and does not need an explanation, ALL POSTS SHOULD COME WITH A VIN!

AND IF THAT IS DONE THEN WHATS THE NOISE FORhuh

Is there a case of "WAYO" if VIN is provided?

If a buyer needs a car the best he can do is to get quotes/vin reports from as many dealers as he wants, and then make his/her choice.

Even in the US salvage cars are not sold at the same price, even if it is rolled over!!!
You should have stopped right here as you met a middle point between the two 'parties' involved in this issue,

rebony:
For a buyer you have to be able to negotiate, haggle, price and get a good deal if you think the car is not worth up to the said amount.
When you're negotiating for a commodity in the market place do and have the following in mind when pricing:

1. The seller bought that property with money and it's not stolen.
2. Find the current going worth(price range) of that commodity in the market place.
, you can add more
These will help you, as a buyer, sound reasonable when pricing with the seller, and this applies not only to the car purchasing, but to everything that involves buying & selling.

rebony:
How many dealers here import their own cars personally??most of the dealers here if not all sell from the "street" that is not wrong, but i agree with you a little Mr wwheelz, negligence is not an excuse,if you go to the pains of taking pictures and also the agony of uploading the pics, then try go through putting up a report just to show a difference.Be a proper SALESMAN! be innovative and provide full report for your clients that makes a Difference! But lets not castigate anyone or try to make a seller look dubious, lets be constructive and try to write our words out in a manner that does not look as if we are trying to make good look bad and bad look worse.

Thanks
Some of us check these vins before we post them. And even if we see that they're salvaged cars we still post them as we would have test driven them and ensured they drive and sound well. We then post the VIN as requested and leave the decision to the buyer. it's as simple as that.
That doesn't mean you'd now start pricing , for instance a non nigerian used 2005 honda accord car at half the price of a nigerian used one.

Hi oyenit,

I believe Inspired didn't mean to threaten you like that, anger 'that you might have just spoilt a deal for him' was what was typing all that.
Believe me, i've been in a similar situation grin
I fully support your VIN check and posting even on myself so continue.

Car Talk › Odometer Rollback: Salvaged Cars: And Ridiculous Budgets by viperman(op): 12:20am On Mar 30, 2009
Ok so over the while now we've been having so many VIN officers on here which i'm very appreciative of; But i want tos say something:

POTENTIAL BUYERS!, Please stop calling dealers to get you cars almost 10years old, and expecting these cars to still have mileages below 50-70000KM.
Or calling dealers to get you cars for ridiculous prices. We already are doing our best on here to beat the prices out there in the market by a good margin, so stop pushing us to the limit. we don't steal these vehicles for crying out loud.
For example, someone calls you asking for a 2004-2005 Honda accord EX full option with all the works.I then get one for this client as soon as possble, only for him to say his budget is 1.6M and that my price is too much at 1.9M( At this current exchange rate with the dollar!!!). This is not just one nairalander calling with this same attitude , huh
I don't know, but i think there needs to be an attitude change both from dealers and buyers. If you want a car at a ridiculous rate don't complain if you're given a salvaged vehicle as that's the best you can get with such WONDERFUL BUDGETS!
You can't kill godzilla with a pebble, yes david killed goliath with a stone, but goliath wasn't godzilla.
If you want the best, be prepared to spend for it.
Stop calling dealers asking that you want, for exampli: a 2008 honda accord and you've got 2M for it, for goodness sakes we don't manufacture these cars.
Now on the issue of salvaged titles e.t.c I think soemthing has to be made clear here:
Some dealers here sell for people who import, some others import and sell themselves, some others just sell for people who aren't internet savvy, but need to display their cars on here. So when a dealer posts a car with the VIN, and one of our VIN-police on here checks it out and discovers it's been salvaged, just don't go about insulting the dealer/poster. You either buy or you ignore that car until you see one posted that you want to buy.
Some dealers have the time to check the VINs before posting(sometimes i personally do that, sometimes i don't depending on how busy i am) others don't.

In addendum, we all need to understand that there are different degrees of salvaged titles.
Some are total write offs, some are serious damages, while others are minors.
Inspired and co might be able to explain this further as i've said my two cents and anyone willing to have a say on this should, CONTRUCTIVELY I MUST ADD.
