With the amount of Igbos sold, it's hard to believe that all of them were criminals sold by the Aros. Raiding small villages was the most common with slavery.

But I don’t think binis, ijaws couldn’t enslave Igbos cuz they were not united. I believe it cuz they saw them as people with no or less resources. During slave trade, slaves with no resources, slaves from stagnant enclave don’t usually worth much!
