President Buhari has finally reacts to the emergence of Senator Ekweremadu of PDP as the Deputy Senate President.

Mr President claims that Ekweremadu will be a great set back for his adminstartion.

Buhari was surprised with the way APC Lawmakers supported Ekweremadu because PDP Neva gave them that chance when they were in power.

He how ever believes that the party the party will overcome all these crisis.

President Buhari made his feelings known at a meeting with a delegation of the Unity Forum at the Aso Rock Villa on Friday night.

The forum is the group of senators backing Dr. Ahmed Lawan, the APC anointed candidate for the Senate Presidency.

Buhari, at the meeting, reportedly pleaded for the understanding of APC Senators as the party explores reconciliation options.

However, the majority of the APC governors and state chairmen of the party are insisting that Senate President Bukola Saraki and House of Reps Speaker Yakubu Dogara comply with the party’s directive on the choice of principal officers of the National Assembly.

BBC Africa reports that President Buhari
said US and other countries have agreed to
help Nigeria recover money stolen from the
government.
The new president said on Tuesday that the
country’s treasury was “virtually empty”.
He vowed to recover billions of dollars
“stolen” under previous administrations.
The president won elections in March on a
promise to tackle corruption, seen as one of
the country’s biggest problems.
Nigeria is Africa’s biggest oil producer but
much of the revenue is said to be stolen.
“The days of impunity and lack of
accountability are over,” he told a meeting
of state governors on Tuesday.
He said Nigeria would get the “facts and the
figures to help us recover our stolen funds in
foreign countries,” over the next three
months.
He did not specify which other countries had
agreed to help recover the money.
In an earlier briefing with journalists, he said
it was a “disgrace” that some government
workers had not been paid for months.
