If you think that a commercial model, entrepreneur, and vibrant personality outside the house like Victoria is mostly aloof because she lacks energy or interest, you're in for a surprise. Her quietness has generated more discussion than some of the housemates who are constantly active. This reserved approach is strategic, and so far, it's working in her favor. I really admire Victoria. |
scondy:It is a waste of time going back and forth with that moniker. This is someone who called the average-looking, sometimes immature, and charisma-lacking Mbadiwe twins the most "Alpha" to have graced the show—individuals who should never be mentioned in the same sentence as "Alpha." When you disagree with the moniker, she resorts to reverse psychology so that her biased updates remain unchallenged. It is what it is. |

The failure of successive governments in Nigeria has made me no longer aggressively criticize government policies and programs. Jonathan was bad, Buhari was worse, and Tinubu is the worst. I'm afraid we'll have to create a new word to describe the uselessness of the next administration, regardless of who or where the person is from. I must be frank: the Bretton Wood merchants are the most slippery, cunny and wicked people on the face of the planet. They sponsor academia to propound theories taught in Ivy League universities. We send our best minds to these universities to learn about theories that keep us in perpetual subterfuge. You wonder why our finest brains like Adewumi Adesina, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, and others are proponents of subsidy removal and flexible exchange rate system? There's no developed economy in the world today that does not operate a subsidy system. In the US, there are agricultural subsidies in the form of direct payments to the farmers and crop insurance. They have fossil fuel subsidies. In the UK, there are BPS and RHI subsidies. China even has export subsidies. But in Africa, they tell us subsidies do not encourage economic growth, hinders FDI, and make citizens lazy. They sold globalization to us, killed our local economy through it, and now that globalization is not favouring their dealings with Asian countries like China and India, they're turning to protectionism. Nigeria and by extension, Africa must learn to start protecting her own. Impose 1000% VAT on imported electronics to encourage local patronage. For the next ten years, no car should be imported to Nigeria except tractors for farming purposes and military-required vehicles. Close borders to all imported foods; let us die if we cannot produce what we eat. No clothing materials should be imported; we have cotton in abundance to make different quality denim products. Recruit 10 million youths into the military on a 5-year contract to flush out the remnants of Boko Haram in our bushes. Then, use the sixth year to teach them a trade or craft. After they complete the contract, give each of them 10 million Naira in the form of goods, machines, and logistics to start a life. We are in dire times; we must be innovative and radical in our approach. |
Oshokhai69:You have provided two justifications for why the nut is difficult for Toby to crack, and it is not because Toby is bad at playing the game |
Oshokhai69:What's the difference between six and half a dozen? |
Kassia's reluctance to enter a romantic relationship with Toby isn't due to Toby's game, but rather because she needs to be cautious about her marriage and societal opinions. The situation is complicated by her husband's presence, which constantly reminds her of her life outside the Big Brother house. Even if Toby were replaced with TeddyA, Kiddwaya, or Sheggz, the outcome would be the same. For Toby to make any progress, her husband would need to leave first. His presence keeps her in check. |
MamBi:They're the reason for this season. Crazy and real. |
bentenny:I understand your point, and I’m not focusing solely on this year. As I mentioned earlier, the decline began some years ago. While the poor economy has significantly affected viewership this year, what can explain the reduction in viewership and participation in previous years? The emphasis is on the overall downward trend, not just an isolated incident of this year. |
bentenny:Well, I acknowledge the impact of the struggling economy, driven by the twin challenges of subsidy removal and currency floating in an import-dependent economy. I understand how these issues are affecting people's finances and mental health. However, if you take a holistic view of the downward trend, you'll see that it has little to do with the current state of the economy. The apathy actually began three seasons ago, possibly due to viewer fatigue, a lack of interest, or a lack of fresh ideas from the organizers. |
scondy:I don't know what the results will look like tomorrow, but I must be honest: I am not impressed by the duo thus far. In my mind, I think they have potential, but reality has been somewhat contrary. For social butterflies who make a living from social engagements, making major impressions and establishing a presence in an important show where so much is at stake shouldn't be rocket science. That's why I like the Wanni and Handi combo. They're my favorite so far. |
The progressive decline in viewers' interest and participation in BBNaija would make an excellent project topic. When BBNaija first launched, it drew a large audience due to its novelty. The promise of exciting moments attracted many viewers. Over time, as the format and content became maybe familiar, the initial excitement just wore off. Interest plateaued, unfortunately, recent seasons have not significantly attracted more viewers, despite claims to the contrary by MultiChoice though. Now, many former BBNaija fanatics are essentially boycotting the show. It's quite shocking! I struggle to keep up with the show myself. The organizers need to reinvent it. Back to the dancefloor |
safarigirl:I read all the comments on the thread, and yours stands out as the most biased with an intent to mislead. You intentionally magnify the smallest flaws, create a narrative, and start repeating it. The problem with repeated lies is that they start to sound true. You don't dictate how you should be quoted here; the best you can do is ignore my mentions. However, as long as you continue with your selective honesty, expect a rebuttal. NB: Reverse psychology doesn't work on me. Save yourself the stress of parroting that overused line. |
safarigirl:Your issue with the relationship is unrelated to genotype. Do people date in the Big Brother house with marriage as their primary intent? Why does something integral to the game bother you so much that you dislike what makes two adults happy? Can you be more concerned about their lives, safety, and joy than they are? You know why you're doing it. While it is not advisable for individuals with genotype "AS" to marry due to the potential risks, modern advancements in medicine and technology are greatly helping with such issues. My friend knew from the start that he was "AS" and still chose to marry an AS woman. It was a mutual understanding. With NIPT or CVS, they can prevent bringing an "SS" baby into the world. |
safarigirl:Now that you have gotten the message, we can close this chapter. |
safarigirl:The qualifying adjective "ordinary" you used earlier is where the deliberate misrepresentation and dishonesty lie. I never said or implied that you shouldn't make jokes; I only challenged a skewed narrative. No one is policing you; this is a thread for deliberations. Stop the reverse psychology. It's not that deep from my end, perhaps only from yours. I don't care about Toby; I'm engaging you because of your disrespect for other people's professions. |
safarigirl:What is Big Brother stanship without cruise? You can enjoy yourself while still being honest. You don't have to be politically correct to be fair in your assessment, recognize craft, and give credit where it's due. |
Let me correct an impression raised earlier: a "TikTok Influencer" is never ordinary, especially in the context of influence and money. It takes a lot of hard work, perseverance, and resources to build a following. When you reach the stage where you can truly influence others (celebrity influencer), you become financially liberated. People on this thread who have contracted these influencers for projects can attest to how financially demanding it is to bring them on board. You may disagree with his approach or his situation ship with the married lad, but it's unfair to downplay a lucrative venture to drive any narrative. |
Payporte01:I like their angle to the social experiment happening in Biggy's house. I'm curious to see how long she'll hold on and, more importantly, how she'll steer a situation where Toby is her only potential means of staying afloat. It will be a test of loyalty in the face of money, influence, and power. |
PrincessEstates:This is my bbn wish. I'm a "chaos enthusiast" Lol. |
JUDGEJUDITH:Kiddwaya wasn't competitive, and the same goes for Boma. The only person I know to be competitive in your group of favorites is Adelulu |
A structured house with a calm and composed Head of House (HoH) will lead to boredom for viewers. The unpredictability that builds up from daily activities like cooking and cleaning is understandably a compelling part of the show. A chaotic leadership style orchestrated by Ike should be the minimum acceptable standard. Anything less should result in the responsible team being completely rejected and voted out of the house. However, I understand that we are all different and unique in our own ways. Variety is the spice of life. |
Another political maneuver is in play, and Doherty will become a significant figure within the party, strategizing and working towards a predictable outcome. Politics is indeed interesting. |
lumens:Stop exhibiting ageism. Instead of bearing testament to your name across boards, you've instead elected to do otherwise. |
I obviously made some mistakes in my post. I'll modify to reflect the corrections. |
1. Tjay & Ben (Beta Friends)- These guys are from Delta State, probably part of the Urhobo or other local ethnic groups. 2. Anita & Nelly (Nelita Friends) - Repping the southeastern region, they proudly belong to the Igbo ethnicity. 3. Ozee & Ocee (Mbadiwe Twins)- Also hailing from Imo State, they’re part of the Igbo crew. 4. Dj Flow & Ruthee (Floruish Friends) - With roots in Edo State, they’re likely members of the Edo ethnic group. 5. Chinne & Nne (Ndi Nne Aunt and Niece) - These two are likely from Anambra State, also representing the Igbo ethnicity. 6. Topher & Sooj (Aces Friends) - From Lagos State, they’re part of the Yoruba community. 7. Victoria & Shaun (Shatoria Friends) - They come from Cross River State, which probably makes them part of the Efik or Ibibio groups. 8. Wanni & Handi (Wanni X Handi Siblings) - These siblings are from Akwa Ibom, likely representing either the Ibibio or Annang ethnic groups. 9. Toyosi & Damilola (Tami Friends) - Also from Lagos, they reflect the vibrant Yoruba culture. 10. Mayor Frosh & Tobi Forge (Streeze Friends) - Yet another pair from Lagos, they’re firmly in the Yoruba camp. 11. Kassia & KellyRay (Double Kay Couples) - Representing the Hausa-Fulani, these two are from Northern Nigeria. 12. Chizoba & Onyeka (Chekas Siblings) - These siblings are also Igbo, coming from the southeastern region. |
MamBi:Their decision to stick to the strategy is the best choice, at least for this game. As you correctly stated, it will impact their gameplay, friendships, and the network they're positioned to build in the house. |
dumininu01:The guy is a rizzler, good with romantic lines and makes wooing stress less. I have watched few of his videos, you may want to check him out on Instagram. His calm demeanor when he was on stage was steeze on steroid |
Interesting |
You're doing a negative PR for Obi and I detest when people who should be apostles of truth are so reckless with lies and negativity. We need superior logic rooted in truth and facts to dislodge Emilokan not this pedestrian skewed narrative and cheap lies. PO is possible! |
SIRTee15:I'm surprised to learn that Tesla has thousands of unsold cars sitting in warehouses while the typical wait time for a Tesla order averages around six months. Some resellers buy these cars to cater to customers who can't wait that long. Anyway, President Biden recently increased taxes on Chinese electric cars and semiconductors to safeguard American companies like Tesla. This move aims to support American dominance in the global electric car market, where the U.S. accounts for 50% of all purchases. |
Peter Obi is playing his game very well this time around, bridging the gaps and solidifying his base without necessarily heating up the polity against the present administration. Your new method might just be the trick to get you to the villa. I am gradually becoming a fan. Obi for president |
