MT: At the bolded, don't be fooled by the term "developed" nation. Most of their citizens do not have 2000USD in their accounts. They have to go and take loan to fund their trips.
Richest country is different from richest citizen. US has arguably the largest homeless people in the world. "Fooled by the term developed" Are you saying they are not developed? Hm? Most of their citizens have that amount. Some of them might not, which is normal. Still, the country has the highest number of richest people. It's normal for them to homeless people. Millions of people pour into the US even without knowing anybody there. |

Ironfaceman: Eswatini agreed to receive up to 160 deportees for $5.1m in US funding, while Ghana, Rwanda and Uganda have also accepted expelled migrants under bilateral arrangements, according to diplomatic sources
What will $5.1 million dollars do for estwani and 160 deportees.
Good one from MALi junta.
Waiting for Nigeria to reciprocate. The US gesture. It'll do them a lot of financial help. Even Ghana accepted the deal and received their own payment. Then they went ahead and drop those deportee in Togo and others without giving them anything to get to their country. $5.1m is 88,317,516.00 estwani currency (swazi lilangeni) |

It's good to be bold. I don't see anything wrong with the bond fee.
The truth there is, it is a citizen moving from a developed nation to a third world country. I don't see them having problem paying whatever legal bond fee Mali is asking.
How much is it they are demanding? If the US say Malians that wants to do business must have $2000 - $5000 in bond fee. The highest Mali would go is ask for maybe $20,000 - $100,000 bond fee. For someone coming from the richest country in the world, I don't see any hurt that would do them. |

brain54: You can report the issue to nafdac...
Through their websites or handles. However, I don't think anything positive would come out of it. And it's sad. Maybe I am wrong about. I hope I am.
Most government agencies in Nigeria have failed in their primary responsibilities of providing services to the citizens. They are hardly any bodies protecting customers and where they exist provide shabby services.
Anything goes in Nigeria. It's almost like a jungle. People just look the other way when things are not right or done properly because even the bureaucracy and process of reporting such to the appropriate channels is tiring and even frustrating. People have developed a thick skin and aren't even bothered about a lot of things anymore.
They just shrug and move on hoping on the next opportunity to make money and live their life.
The quality of life in Nigeria is really at it's lowest. A lot of things have gone really bad and a lot really needs to change.
Sometimes I wish I was in a better position to change some of these things. For now I can only play the part I can by highlighting some of these things that have gone wrong.
We really can't continue living like this as a people where even the least of the basic things to make life comfortable and meaningful are simply not there or at best non functional.
We have a long way to go as a country and people! You've spoken well. Truly, Nigeria is not a working country. |

MaxInDHouse: Please don't be provoked! Visiting a worship center doesn't make a visitor Christian rather it's accepting the teachings {Matthew 7:24-27} making it part of you {Luke 11:27-28} and joining other disciples to proclaim the message in your neighborhood {Matthew 10:11-13; Luke 10:6} that makes you a disciple of Jesus (Christian) It's not visiting, it's joining. You don't visit church. You join the church. It's the direction of the Holy Book. It's the direction of God. He told us to come together in worship for him. As a Christian that you are, I'm sure you believe in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit did not decend when the followers of Christ were scattered. It came when they gathered as Church. Going to church does not make you a true Christian as you point out but according to the lead of the Lord worshipping together as believers glorifies God more than when you do it alone. Church brings a large atmosphere of God's presence in which every followers would be touched (if they are united) just like the Holy Spirit descended as fire and touch each of Christs followers. |

I was surprised how they went all out buying players at extravagant price last summer. This Arne Slot is very different from Klopp, Benitez, Rodgers. Klopp did not buy overpriced players, he bought talents, Robertson, Arnold, Keita, Mane, Firmino, Thiago... He didn't spend 70-100 millions buying those players and they were better than the current team. I won't be surprise when they go this season without any trophy |

We just need to grow out of this Aluta, scatter everywhere mentally, if things doesn't work out way. Government should please disband NUPENG and their sister union PENGASSAN. You cannot just force private business hands to do what and whatever in their business. If you want to dictate, start up your own refinery, then you can control your staff remotely how you want. The Chinese are making chips that would match anybody in computational performance, to underestimate them is to be careless, you need to understand that the Chinese government can control more tightly what is known of them and they intentionally hide their level of advancement in some areas as the US through the chips act is looking to undermine them by stopping sale of lithography equipment for instance.
But those guys are making a lot of progress, what tye west depends on is decades of IP shared across many countries You made good points jare. This is how argument should be on social space. Civil, direct and out of name/abuse calling. |

Afrojuju2017: The Chinese have achieved a serious level of capacity, military experts and observers have stated that no nation would be in their right sense to engage china in a frontal conflict including the US. Not even Russia not even a coalition of NATO can defeat China at this state, their level of development in all areas is just ridiculous.
Ima speaking to you as an engineer working in high tech, not even in the semiconductor or optics can anyone limit China.
Take 5G for instance, chinese state assisted companies like Huawei had developed it over 4 years ahead of the nearest western company.
Their telecoms industry is way ahead, take alternative energy technology and energy storage tech, their battery systems and tech is the best in the world, they dictate photovoltaic production and have the most efficient cell systems on the commercial market or industrial use.
The Chinese have outpaced the Russians over a decade ago and have matched the Americans and everyday are gaining and leaving them behind, the last vestiges of the Americans empire is in its cultural status, we all watch their moves, listen to their music and aspire to be like them, speak languages they speak.
Till a few years ago Russian rockets were being used by NASA to put satellites in space, and till now the Americans can't maintain the space station without contributions from the Russians and increasingly the Chinese who are doing a lot in the space race, that is why Trump started the space force.
On the topic of the B2 it is functionality of limited value, the Americans wouldn't put a B2 over the airspace of Russia or China because it would be shot down and that's the real fact and that'll be an expensive error plus you risk capture of sensitive data, if you think the 400 series anti air is the best the Russians have you'll be kidding yourself, their are already experts who claim they know of military tests of lond range stratospheric anti air systems, the B2 is used to gather intel that a satellite can gather so the true value is against smaller enemies. You made solid points. I won't dispute the fact that China are technologically advanced. They have the resources. But I'd still maintain my point that they (China) are not technologically innovative like the west. And the standard of their products (mostly military and others) is still less than the west. The west knows that China is moving very fast. Trump, thank God for the man, appears to be the only one in the past decade to stand against China and realize the threats. |

The Russians have a good few bombers that's cause distress anytime they are in the skies, the Ukrainians have made it a point to hunt for Russian bombers that's how devastating they are. That's Russia. Their military capabilities and innovation surpasses China. It's the fact. The US had sometimes collaborate and share intelligence with Russia regarding space and few techs. Another fact is those aircraft you mentioned are not the same level with B2 Stealth bomber. You seem not to know the prowess of B2 |

America is no longer who they used to be - Even their threats of sanctions only work against 3rd world countries...not any more against peers like NK, China, India, Russia. Th e world has left them behind. The greatest undoing is weaponizing the dollar. Well, they can still flex their muscles against Europe as he got everything, he wanted from them through the trade war.
Apart from their allies, many nations today do not fear them anymore. Even small Iran attacked their military base. The Houthis sank 3 helicopters, sent America out of the West bank.... after series of attack on their ships and aircraft carrier. The US do not see anyone in the world as partner, they get what they want, they ask you what to do - If you refuse, they threaten you with sanctions, tariffs, regime change and a proxy war (using internal conflict) or neighboring countries. they have these foot soldiers everywhere whom they supply weapons to and use them to foment trouble just to destabilize you. They use the media for disinformation to turn everyone against you, while acting as a mediator at the same time. What are you saying. You want to compare the success of US attacks on Iran to what the US did to them. Among all the missiles sent only two landed at the base and it was expected, no single casualties. We all know what happen to the hautis after what they did during Biden term. What the US said after Iran attack was to, we expect the retaliation, they have gotten it out of their system now. Let them rest. That's power. In all the presidents that have came to power, how many have receive foreign leaders at their office like Trump have done since he won his election.
