A video of an unidentified lady being stripped naked by a group of people, who inserted pepper into her private parts for allegedly stealing a mobile phone in Benin City, went viral a few days ago and has since caused outrage on social media.
In the video, the lady was heard crying and denying she had stolen any phone, while she was being humiliated by the crowd who refused to show her mercy.

An unarmed man suspected to be an armed robber was allegedly shot dead by policemen in Edo state on Tuesday morning January 29th.
According to Instagram user, @CarrickDublin who shared a video from the scene online, the suspected man was fleeing the scene after he was apprehended when the police shot at him. He died instantly.
”This happened in Benin city some Armed police men caught some innocents boy’s and they were not with any weapon,Then one was trying to Escape and he was shoot dead at the spot…..The Questions is What’s is happening in Nigeria?

A 37-year-old woman has been left blind in one eye after she was stabbed in the face with a shard of glass with doctors removing a plaited hair extension stuck in her eye socket after a fight with her sister.
According to Daily Mail, the lady whose identity wasn’t revealed was rushed to Delta State University Teaching Hospital where she was given local anaesthetic before surgeons pulled out the shard which had left her unable to see, then stitched up the cuts on her eyelids.


Before she was operated Doctors said she was in an ‘anxious state’ because of the gaping wound in her cheek.
Dr. Mabel Okiemute Etetafia of Delta State University reported the woman’s predicament in the journal BMJ Case Reports.
According to her, the woman’s right eye was producing excessive amounts of fluid and intensely red, the report said, but her eyeball was mostly intact. However, she suffered ‘irreversible’ damage to her cornea – the front of her eye – leaving it blinded and useless.
The section of hair believed to have been sliced off the woman’s weave during the attack were sticking out of a diagonal slash beneath her eye.

Temitope Hammed, the elder sister to Misturat Titilope Hammed, 20, one of the four girls crushed to death by a vehicle in Abeokuta, has blamed Yahoo boys for the accident.
It was reported that a Toyota Avensis car last Friday, lost control after experiencing a tyre burst, somersaulted and crushed four students of the Government Technical College and one other person to death in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Spokesperson, Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) in Ogun, who confirmed the incident in Abeokuta on Saturday, said that the car lost control due to tyre burst, somersaulted and hit the students where they were seated in front of a house.

“The vehicle lost control due to tyre burst and speeding , sumarsaulted and went to meet people sitting down outside a house instantly killing five of them and injuring two others. The accident occurred around 10:40pm. Four female college students and a little girl died on the spot. We Learnt they were students of Government Technical College, Abeokuta. They came for a Muslim programme called Tarjuud which was to start by 12am but were still outside around 10:30 pm, waiting for 12am to enter a mosque where the programme will take place before the incident happened. Alcoholic drinks were found in the car and unfortunately the driver of the car could not be located, ” he said.
