PhonesRe: It's Painful When You Do Midnight Data Subscription Only To Fall Asleep by Whois(m): 9:46pm On May 10
Glo night data had 5 days validity. It was when Tinubu became president it was reduced to 24hrs validity.

Tinubu has disrupted many things we use to enjoy in Nigeria.

Iyobaba:
I'm surprised Nigerians are still being taken for a ride, the same midnight data plan does not expire in Ghana and you can do it as many times as you want.
For Airtel and Telecel it's 3 cedis but MTN allows the flexibility to buy between 1-2.99 cedis.

The government have failed to protect its citizens, these companies are making banks with the scams they are pulling on hardworking Nigerians.

AgricultureRe: See How A Chicken Lays Eggs by Whois(m): 6:51am On May 05
I experienced the same with my last Turkey. It's painful seeing those potential eggs going to waste

malikombi:
A killed one of my noiler chicken which started laying eggs at about a month ago.
Inside the chicken, I met a fully developed egg which strong shell.
I actually waited for her to lay the egg before killing it because it is already past her laying time but my wife assured me that the egg would still be intact even if I've killed it and it's actually true.
I found another 5 partially developed eggs with soft shell and coloured like yolk (little smaller than the developed one) but there are several tiny egg follicles which are uncountable and could possibly give me eggs everyday for another 5 months or so.
God is really merciful and wonderful!

PoliticsRe: Current Political Trend In Nigeria by Whois(m): 12:01pm On Apr 28
What you’re describing isn’t unusual—it’s a pattern that shows up in many democracies, not just Nigeria.

People’s behavior around politics often shifts because incentives change. During non-election periods, criticism is cheap and even socially rewarded—calling out leaders, venting frustrations, and highlighting problems. But once campaigns begin, politics becomes transactional. Some of those same voices you saw criticizing may now be:

financially or professionally tied to a campaign (consulting, media work, mobilization),

aligned with a candidate they see as “better than the alternative,”

or simply prioritizing short-term benefit over consistency.

That doesn’t necessarily mean they “forgot” their concerns—it can also mean they’re compromising, or they’ve recalculated what matters most to them in that moment.

On the politicians’ side, the sudden generosity is a classic strategy. It’s often called “retail politics” or, in more critical terms, vote-buying culture. Ideally, public service should be consistent and institutional (policies, infrastructure, governance), not seasonal and personal. But where systems are weak, visible handouts close to elections can be more immediately effective than long-term performance.

As for candidates who lost previous elections and seem inactive: many of them don’t have formal roles after losing, so they fade from public view unless they’re building structures quietly for the next cycle. Others simply lose influence, funding, or relevance once they’re no longer in the spotlight.

There are a few underlying issues tying all this together:

Weak political accountability between elections

High cost of campaigning, which encourages transactional politics

Voter expectations shaped by immediate needs rather than long-term policy

Lack of strong party ideology, so loyalty shifts easily

It can feel frustrating because it looks like a cycle: outrage → campaigning → short-term incentives → repeat.

If you’re thinking about this from a “what can change” angle, the pressure points are usually:

voters demanding consistency (not just during elections),

stronger civic engagement between election cycles,

and more scrutiny of both politicians and influencers who suddenly switch positions.

Your observation is basically about credibility—who actually stands by what they say when it’s inconvenient. And that’s something people are increasingly paying attention to, even if the system hasn’t fully caught up yet.

Out of curiosity, do you think most people notice this inconsistency but just accept it, or do they genuinely see nothing wrong with it?

helinues:
There have been several campaign adverts not just on NL but on other social media. What I noticed is, the same Nigerians who have said all lots of things about politicians in general have been the one launching the campaign.

So they deliberately wasted 3 years to be complaining while they would suddenly forgotten about their worries as there might be something for them in promoting a candidate, same politicians they have been lambasting for the past 3 years

Also, those politicians contesting have started their generosity, they only remember their community whenever the election is approaching. If they really care their generosity should not only be when the election is approaching.

Where are the losers of the last election, they have totally stopped caring.
Photo attached as said it all. Let's vote APC out, we're more than APC members
