I too don't know when this law will be imposed in Nigeria generally by the Government because what I believe is that everybody had now turned himself to agent which is supposed to be eradicated by the NIESV{Nigerian Institute of Estate Surveyor and Valuers}. We have street quacks across the whole federation now that is doing estate management which is not supposed to be so at all; Regarding to the landlord, i believe that any landlord that give his or her own house to any agent is supposed to pay 5% as the management fee out of the gross rent paid to him or her for the apartment but all these quack agents don't know their right at all and what they know is to get their peanut in that 10% and be good with it which had already even given the landlords the power to become agent too for their houses. The funnest part of it is that some landlord even call themselves agent and out of the 10% that is supposed to share among like 10 agents.lol
The advice to Government is to ban any agent that is not qualified at all or that doesn't even have any degree in estate management or any discipline relating to estate management
