Widow's Mite foundation. is a planned bereavement and grief mental and health counseling/education center focusing on serving surviving spouse and family members with mental/health issues. The purpose of this foundation is to provide services for widows orphans and disable as well as their families with social and financial resources in their time of need. These services will lift the load off the mind of the grieving and provide hope. Our Goals: We want people to know, that there is no situation, or life circumstance that is too hard to find a resolution. Finding help to meet the present needs, will alleviate the stressors that come along with not having needs met. The Widow’s Mite Foundation is a stabilizing, spiritual, and cultural source of support for Africans individuals and families. At the present time there is no intentional agency providing services for the African local community. Widow’s Mite initial services will include: Provide immediate needed emergency financial support Provide information for holistic existing community based essential services and mental health and spiritual counseling Host and manage regular Peer to Peer level support group To help children cope when a parent faces serious or life‐threatening illness Create a social group. To help and empower grief stricken surviving spouses and families cope when faced with the loss of a significant life partner, or in preparing to face the death of a husband or wife as a result of serious or life-threatening trauma or illness. To take control of their destiny and function productively by providing them with the necessary skills to realize their dreams, through counseling, education, social skills training, motivation, and participating in the treatment of abnormal behaviors to become successful. The unexpected traumatic illness and death of the primary matriarch or patriarchs of a family reminds us that all of us, no matter how much we've accomplished and what we've built for ourselves, our families, and society, we are all mortal, and in times of serious traumatic illness and death. Knowing this, of course, helps only a little in dealing with the grief and with the business decisions that must be made when a family member dies.Whether it's the head of the family or another relative who's only indirectly connected to the family any death can disrupt the normal family orbit, causing the family stability to wobble off course. Widow's Mite knows from first hand personal experience that like joy, the exact opposite emotion, grief swamps our rational decision making and overturns our daily routines; but unlike joy, grief can linger long. How should surviving family members deal with such a powerful emotional event? You would be surprised at the difference your donation will make. Do not forget to also share your problem with us if you have problems. Segun Lalasticlala Mynd44 Toks2008

These activities might include human rights, environmental, improving health, or development work. - An NGO's level of operation indicates the scale at which an organization.
