Not withstanding being a telecommunication service providing company to a growing number of Nigerians on its customer base, Globacom, says it is time to elevate at least 1,000 entrepreneurs amongst Nigerians who are currently on its subscribers list and those who will be willing to join the moving train.

We all know Globacom to be an indigenous telecoms company, which has done so much despite all ups and downs and not withstanding them all, still have its customers at heart.

Globacom’s Chief Retail Officer, Mr. David Maji, while unveiling the N200 recharge and win promo said to be, “My Own Don Beta,” in Lagos recently, accounted the offer as a life-changing promo, which would afford at least 1,000 Nigerians the opportunity to win trade establishment tools to help them sinuous their way out of poverty.

The items for the promo are carefully selected to help Nigerians to create wealth and also empower them.


INFORMATION ON HOW TO BE ELIGIBLE
He also said the chance to win in the promo was open to all pre-paid customers of Globacom, adding that new subscribers were allowed to participate.

He urged all participants to boost their chances of winning in the promo by increasing the number of times they recharge their phones with the minimum N200 permitted MS.

We have got this covered by both the National Lottery Regulatory Commission ( NLRC) and the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) which were present at the launch of the promo to endorse it.

Globacom has its approval to float the promo because it has gone through the due process. The commission, however, promised to monitor the execution of the promo to ensure that the people who win gets what they won.

The NLRC said

We have the capacity to monitor the promo across the country even with our 15 zonal offices in the country.

The NLRC boss representative said the commission was confident in Globacom to deliver on its promises.

Globacom is a very strong and big brand and that is why this is a big promo. NLRC said.

The NCC on its part noted that Globacom took the lead in quite a number of areas of operations among its peers in the industry.

Globacom leads in critical areas in the industry and we are not ignorant of that. NCC disclosed.

NCC added that:
This is to inform consumers that when this service provider makes promises, you should trust them because they are being monitored by the regulators.

The NCC commended the initiative by Glo to empower Nigerians through the promo.

Indeed this is a very nice and initiative way of letting its customer know they have been taken to heart.

Facebook added dark mode feature:

We are not surprised of the new dark mode feature been rolled out for most users, just as dark mode has been trending most especially this year and seems lots of apps developers are getting to get dark mode feature available for users.

Lately Facebook have done so much upgrade when it comes to privacy - related, forgetting to tweak display UI (lol). Good thing for the sudden change! We gathered some useful information about the dark mode on facebook, and pretty cool facebook's new look resembles Twitter more than anything else. Facebook dsrk mode has simple, flat colors as well as a very Twitter-like top banner and home feed. Not to forget mentioning plenty of rounded corners as well. The change is indeed applauded and makes facebook more fun and longer to stay on.

Users are expected to find lots more empty areas than before, due to the increased spacing between various elements.

The new Facebook dark mode look doesn't seem to have brought changes to its functionality to the site, but there is a new Dark Mode for users to toggle and save battery energy. Enabling dark mode seems so simple as clicking the options button at the top right corner of the website, and toggling the desire feature on.

On enabling dark mode, Facebook's interface will go from white to various shades of black, making Facebook more sight friendly at night. Definitely this is going to safe lots of late night social media binges a bit easier on the eyes, at least on desktop platforms.

And as at yesterday WhatsApp is finally expanding their tests, rolling out the Group Privacy settings for a lot of iOS and Android users. This update and tets is indeed very necessary because many users were added in groups without their permission and this calls for a privacy settings on groups.

Information reaching us tells that Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) approves Airtel's move to disconnect Globacom network over debt.

NCC has granted approval to Airtel Networks Limited partial Disconnection to Globacom from its network.

The action was said to have been as a result of Globacom’s failure to settle interconnect debts.

The partial disconnection of Globalcom makes it impossible for Glo subscribers to make phone calls to Airtel network. Not withstanding the fact that they, can however receive calls from the network (Airtel).

Information of the decision detailed that the disconnection will possibly take effect from October 28 2019.
