It is a good way to get to know meet people in this very busy world of ours. It works.  Some friends of mine have met partners online.  I have heard of some that have been conned as well! Like everything in life one has to be careful and discerning.  Get to know much about them via mail before you start communicating via phone.  Take time to know the person very well before meeting in person.  Do not rush into anything just take time and find out who the person really is by getting to meet and know them in their environment.  Get to meet their friends/colleagues etc.  I believe so much in it.  It is same as meeting someone in a party, taxi, supermarket etc.
