Kenochi: I said on a similar thread that Nigeria's problem is not Hunger or High Food price,it is our inability to understand that Agriculture(livestock and Aquaculture inclusive) is very very big business This news should be a very big eye opener to all producers of Rice Paddy in Nigeria, and that is the fact that there is a very big market for you in Nigeria The Lagos State Government just informed us that they have the capacity to produce 2 million bags of 50kg Rice in a year, this is enough to make all serious farmers of Rice Paddy form cooperatives,go to the Federal Government and secure funding to grow Rice paddies on a very very large scale because the market and buyer of last resort is available
There is something else that I am really hoping some Aquaculture investors can look at,the price of Imported Frozen food is really getting out of hand.It is an irony of sorts that our locally breed fish such as Catfish, are more cheaper and more nutritious than this frozen nonsense we eat Apart from the smoked catfish,I am really hoping that investors can look at the possibility of processing this fish,is it possible to get the technology to freeze this fish We are a blessed people and Nigerians have no reason to go to bed hungry because all what we need to live well and feed well has been graciously given to us,from the great weather to a fantastic soil we really should be producing enough to eat and export all over Africa Lot Of farmers have left their farms due to insecurity from bandits and Fulani herdsmen. Many people have left their fish farms because feed is expensive including local one. And no Catfish isn't cheaper than Sawa or kote fish. |

Without crypto, a lot of young Nigerians would have been unemployed, thus putting more strain on the few jobs available in the country.
Crypto has alo brought a lot of FOREX and cash money that has circulated through the economy. Without USDT, demand for dollar would have increased and maybe even gotten to $3000/N |

Ttalk: Good for the economy.
A government that is bold enough to remove subsidies should not be afraid of any backslash that may arise from any measure to save the naira.
Let all remittances be converted to the naira equivalent so the government can have enough dollars for people doing genuine business in need of dollars.
All domiciliary accounts with idle dollars should be taxed. It's a dumb decision. Less dollar inflow will mean scarcity of dollars and further increased rates. |

aariwa: Consequences of denial of people an opportunity to elect their leaders. The chaos, hunger, hardship, hopelessness and anger all over the country is the direct result of the February 2023 falsified election results because the mandate thief has exposed himself as nothing more than a dunce and only skilled in criminality. After the rigged elections in February 2023 Femi Adeshina said Nigerians will miss buhari. Femi is a veteran journalist of almost 30 years who knew tinubu battle with gani Fawehimi of blessed memory over tinubu drug case, identity theft, certificate forgery etc so he knew tinubu even if you give him 30 years have nothing to offer Nigeria. A new Nigeria is possible with Peter Obi The same Reno Omokri you quoted now support Tinubu the thief. |
