@woodrow, my engine has been opened/overhauled, does not shorten oil, with high mileage though (close to 300k) and still running, but I don't know if swapping is allowed. I can just add some cash untop to get another Toks, Car dey very expensive now.

I have seen someone use a 2004 camry bought as tokunbo with 290k mileage and engine was very silent and smooth without oil leaks and same engine in a highlander on 180k mileage gave up on the owner along the road.

If you are very confident of the overhaul, I see no reason why you want to swap (if allowed). Choice is yours at the end of the day

Ladipo. Go with someone who knows what he/she is doing. There are a lot of rebuilt engines being re sold as tokunbo. I was impressed with the expertise of the mechanic, I had to reward him handsomely. Some dubious sellers would even want to sell you 1AZ FE as a 2AZ for their own selfish gains.

Since the thermostat was removed and bypassed, let's assume the recommended engine oil was not also used by the previous owner and as you have switched to the recommended engine oil, try pay attention to notice if it shorts oil. Check in a week or 2 if it doesn't reduce, continue using the recommended oil. Enjoy.

I own a Corolla 2003 model, I take care of it very well cuz it's my only car,

I went to fuel at a station close to my house before I parked on an evening I return from work, only to start my vehicle that always has a smooth sound the next morning to hear it jerk seriously.

It cleared overtime from jerking at stationary, only to jerk when I engage the gear to move, and also jerks and stalls on motion when I drive in the morning,

It doesn't respond promptly to truttling , when you throttle, it stalls, pick and drop,
And when I engage a/c, it gets worse.

Mechanics have services nuzzles, injector and injector pipes, fuel pump strainer has been washed, (even though it was not dirty) plugs has been cleaned, but the problem still persist.

Pls I need help expert in the house, wat more shall I do?? wat could be wrong with my vehicle cuz it's giving me sleepless night??

Scan and request for the result of the scan. Since it happens only on cold start, you are likely to get a P0011 code. If for any reason you get this code, it would come along with misfiring codes in other cylinders as a result of the jerk. The Oil control valve is the problem. Picture is attached. You can have it cleaned or replaced. The last time such happened, the ocv valve was found to have broken, it was replaced and that was the end.
