This inverter requires batt. to supply d AC power u need to run your appliances. Vehicle batt wl work quite right but we usually recommend a deep cycle batt

Yes, d inverter is connected to your house/mains but u don't need do any manual plugging or unplugging again if nepa light goes out. D inverter does d auto switch frm DC to AC to ensure continuous uninterrupted power supply. That's is d UPS aspect of it.
