Might explain the restrain but I doubt the authenticity of that claim. Trump doesn't just want wars to be part of his presidency, forget his talkative mannerism.

American has what it takes (none nuclear arsenals btw) to grind Iran to rubles like Gaza. Whoever has any contrary opinion maybe be living in fools paradise. That they're showing restrain doesn't mean they don't have the capacity to cause maximum danger to the Iranians side.
