Foreign AffairsRe: Photo Of Putin & Trump Hung In The White House by WriterNig(op):
Americans are obsessed with Russia. Even in their movies.

Every time Russia, Russia, Russia! Putin, Putin, Putin!

Meanwhile the Russians hardly think about them or even talk about them.

Russia is more concerned about Belarus, Kazakhstan, Ukraine & Western Europe than America.

Also something I noticed in a vestibule area that connects the West Wing to the residence that I hadn’t see before: a framed photo of Presidents Trump and 🇷🇺 Putin at their summer summit in Alaska.

Lower photo is President Trump with one of his grandchildren.

Trump is tempting Greenland's 56000 residents with an offer of 1m dollars each...

They will go for it.. Denmark doest give them much..

Only a fool would sell out their territory in a world where people are fighting and dying for land.

Russia vs Ukraine = Land
Israel vs Palestine = Land
China vs India = Land
World War 2 = Land.

And so many more.

The number one cause of war since the time of Jesus Christ has always been LAND. And the resources that sits beneath those lands.

Greenland Will Not Handover Any Territory To U.S - Danish Officials Warn (Photo)

🇩🇰 Denmark has rejected any suggestion of handing parts of Greenland over to the US after Donald Trump had claimed he had reached a “framework of a future deal” over the island.

The Telegraph understands that this deal, which mimics Britain’s agreement with Cyprus, would allow the US to control parts of Greenland by designating them as sovereign base areas.

But Mette Frederiksen, the Danish prime minister, emphasised that her country could not negotiate on its sovereignty and that Mark Rutte, the NATO secretary-general, had no authority to do so on Denmark’s behalf.

“NATO is fully aware of the Kingdom of Denmark’s position. We can negotiate on everything political – security, investments, economy. But we cannot negotiate on our sovereignty. I have been informed that this has not been the case,” she said.

The framework was agreed between the US president and Mr Rutte on Wednesday evening, raising hopes of an easing of Danish concerns that the US might seek to annex the semi-autonomous region.

Following its announcement, Mr Trump declared an about-turn on the tariffs he had threatened to impose against eight European nations, including the UK.

On Thursday night, the US president told reporters on board Air Force One that he expected to have a deal to resolve the Greenland dispute in “two weeks”.

“There’s a good spirit to get something done. And we have to have a strong freedom. We have to have the ability to do exactly what we want to do,” he said.

It is believed the proposed deal would allow the US to carry out military and intelligence operations, as well as training, while also facilitating some local development, potentially including rare earth mining.

In theory, the proposed new framework would allow the US to control parts of Greenland and potentially expand into mineral-rich areas coveted by Mr Trump. It also means that the US would not have to seek permits, such as planning permission.

Further details of the agreement, made at the World Economic Forum in the Swiss ski resort of Davos, remain scant.

But a NATO spokesman said Mr Rutte “did not propose any compromise to sovereignty during his meeting with the president in Davos”.

On Thursday, Troels Lund Poulsen, the Danish defence minister, reiterated that Denmark’s sovereignty over Greenland was non‑negotiable and stressed that Mr Rutte had no mandate to negotiate on behalf of Denmark or Greenland.

However, he wrote on social media that Mr Rutte had “worked loyally to maintain unity within NATO”, and it was “very positive” that the alliance wanted to do more to strengthen Arctic security.

“We have a clear red line,” he added. “We will not cede sovereignty over parts of the kingdom.”

EU governments remain wary of another change of mind by Mr Trump, who is increasingly seen as a bully to whom Europe will have to stand up, according to reports.

They are focused on coming up with a longer-term plan on how to deal with the US under this administration and possibly its successors.

“Trump crossed the Rubicon. He might do it again. There is no going back to what it was, and leaders will discuss it,” one EU ‍diplomat told Reuters, adding ‌that the bloc needed to move away from its heavy reliance on the US in many areas.

“We need to try to keep him close while working on becoming more independent from the US. It is a process – probably a long one.”

I think Trump wants them to stop the fight in Ukraine. That's why he's doing all these.
Sounds reasonable to me.

The war in Ukraine instituted by NATO backed forces is what could have been avoided.
There can be peace around the world

The War in Ukraine is eating deep into US weapons stockpile and reserves. Both Trump and Biden have been complaining about it for years now.

US weapons sent to Ukraine lasts less than a week before they get blown up by Russia. US State Secretary, Marco Rubio said it himself.

If there was no Ukraine war, the US would have been able to invade Venezuela or maybe Canada not just kidnapping Maduro and seizing ships like poor pirates.

They're tied down in Ukriane and Israel and unable to carry out any large scale military operation, it's quite obvious.

For the first time in over 100 years, the 🇨🇦 Canadian military is modeling its response to a hypothetical U.S. invasion, as tensions rise between President Donald Trump’s administration and NATO allies, according to a new report.

The model outlines the Canadian Armed Forces’ multi-pronged strategy to counter a potential 🇺🇸 U.S. military incursion. It includes plans to use asymmetric tactics, drone warfare and requests for European backup, according to two senior Canadian officials who spoke to The Globe and Mail.

The model is purely theoretical and precautionary, with officials stressing that a U.S. invasion is unlikely to happen. Still, it illustrates the extent to which relations between the two nations longstanding allies and important trading partners have broken down over the past year. To this point, a poll taken this summer found most Canadians now view the U.S. as their country’s greatest threat.

Since taking office last January, Trump has repeatedly expressed his desire to acquire Canada, which he described on multiple occasions as “the 51st state.” And in recent weeks, he’s reportedly turned his attention back to Canada, fixating on the country’s “vulnerability” to foreign adversaries in its Arctic reaches.

At the same time, the 79-year-old president has made clear his desire to take control of Greenland, a territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, another NATO ally. The White House, which says it needs Greenland for purposes of national security, sees several options to achieve this goal, including the use of military force.

Trump’s overtures have alarmed NATO partners, including France and Germany, and led them to deploy troops to Greenland. Canadian officials are considering dispatching forces to the Arctic island as well.

“On Arctic sovereignty, we stand firmly with Greenland and Denmark and fully support their unique right to determine Greenland’s future,” Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said in Switzerland on Tuesday.

Last week, he committed to strengthening bonds with China and forging a “new world order” underscoring the apparent decline of the U.S.-led system of alliances.

The Canadian forces don’t have enough soldiers or equipment to repel a conventional attack, so they would rely on “unconventional warfare,” which would include sabotage, ambushes and drone warfare, The Globe and Mail reported.

One official said the model is inspired by the Muhajideen, a group of guerrilla fighters in Afghanistan who fought the Russians in the Soviet-Afghan War using hit-and-run tactics.

“The aim of such tactics would be to impose mass casualties on U.S. occupying forces,” the official said.

Should the U.S. attack, the Canadian government would likely call for aid from other nuclear powers, including France and the U.K.

“You know if you come after Canada, you are going to have the world coming after you, even more than Greenland.

People do care about what happens to Canada, unlike Venezuela,” retired Major-General David Fraser, who led Canadian troops in Afghanistan, said.

“You could actually see German ships and British planes in Canada to reinforce the country’s sovereignty.”
