Foreign AffairsRe: We Want Russia By Our Side - Syria's New Government Tells Moscow (Photos) by WriterNig(op):
A certain nobody Botragelad swore that Russian troops were kicked out of Syria.

Meanwhile Russian bases in Syria remained untouched and Russia was among the first country the new leaders met after the coup.

Reality is oftentimes disappointing for Botragelad and his minions.

🇸🇾 Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani has said his country wants Russia “by our side”, marking the first formal visit to Moscow by an official of the new government in Damascus since Syria’s previous 🇷🇺 Russian-backed government was overthrown last year.

“The current period is full of various challenges and threats, but it is also an opportunity to build a united and strong Syria.

And, of course, we are interested in having Russia by our side on this path,” al-Shaibani told his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Thursday during his visit to Moscow, according to a Russian translation of his comments.

“But, of course, there are a number of factors that determine and complicate these relations on the ground,” al-Shaibani said, adding that the relations should be based on “mutual respect”.

Former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, a key Russian ally in the Middle East, fled to Moscow last year after being ousted in a lightning rebel offensive that ended five decades of the al-Assad family’s rule.

After settling in Russia, al-Assad later claimed in a statement posted on Facebook that he wanted to stay in the country and continue fighting, but that the Russians had pulled him out of the country.

Despite having been on opposite sides of the battle lines during the civil war – Russia took part in air attacks against the Syrian opposition and used its military might to prevent the regime’s collapse in the early years of the war – the new rulers in Damascus, headed by interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa, have taken a pragmatic approach to relations with Moscow.

A Russian delegation visited Damascus in January, and the following month, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin had a call with al-Sharaa that the Kremlin described as “constructive and business-like”.

Russian forces have remained at Russia’s bases on the Syrian coast, and Russia has reportedly sent oil shipments to Syria.

🇷🇺 🇹🇿 Tanzania has officially launched a $1.2 billion uranium extraction initiative in partnership with Russia’s state-owned nuclear energy corporation, Rosatom, marking one of the most ambitious mining projects in the country’s history.

The venture aims to harness the country’s vast uranium reserves as a driver for economic growth, industrial development, and future clean energy prospects.

President Samia Suluhu Hassan presided over the inauguration of a $400 million uranium processing plant at the Mkuju River Project site on Wednesday, signalling the operational start of a broader 20-year plan to extract and process an estimated 300,000 tonnes of uranium.

"This project reflects Tanzania's commitment to responsibly tap into its natural resources to support sustainable development," President Hassan said during the launch.

Speaking, the Director General of the Rosatom State Corporation, Alexey Likhachev said the firm was offering its advanced uranium processing technologies to develop Tanzania's unique geological potential.

"As with all our partners, we intend to build cooperation with the republic on the basis of equality and mutual understanding."

"At the same time, in its activities, Rosatom is always guided by the principles of sustainable development with unconditional compliance with high environmental and social standards. We will be happy to help Tanzania take an important step towards integration into the global nuclear energy industry," he added.

The plant, situated in the southern region of Namtumbo, is the first of its kind in Tanzania and a key component of the government’s strategy to diversify mineral exports and capitalise on the rising global demand for low-carbon energy sources.

Even the US is still buying russian oil till date, yet they're threatening others not to buy.
Very envious nation.

The true definition of enemies of progress.

If you have a friend like the US in your life, you're as good as dead.

Ask Germany and Europe what they're suffering.

🇮🇳 Indian officials said on Saturday that they would keep purchasing cheap oil from 🇷🇺 Russia despite a threat of penalties from President Trump, the latest twist in an issue that New Delhi thought it had settled.

Mr. Trump said last week that as part of his latest round of tariffs, he would impose an unspecified additional penalty on India if it did not cut off its imports of Russian crude oil.

On Friday, he appeared to echo reports of a recent dip in the arrival of Russian oil to India.

“I understand that India is no longer going to be buying oil from Russia,” he told reporters. “That’s what I heard. I don’t know if that’s right or not. That is a good step. We will see what happens.”

But on Saturday, two senior Indian officials said there had been no change in policy. One official said the government had “not given any direction to oil companies” to cut back imports from Russia.

Mr. Trump did not say what the penalty would be if India were to defy his call to cut off Russian oil imports. Some officials and analysts have said that Mr. Trump’s focus on India’s purchase of Russian oil could be a negotiating tactic as India and the United States try to conclude the early phases of a bilateral trade agreement.

China and Turkey, two other major importers of Russian oil, have not faced similar penalties.

India has drastically increased its purchases of Russian oil since the war in Ukraine began. Russia is now the source of more than one third of India’s oil imports — up from less than one percent before the war.

Bringing in more than two million barrels of crude oil a day, India is the second largest importer of Russian oil, after China.

New Delhi faced strong pressure in the early months after the Russian invasion of Ukraine to cut down on its economic ties with Russia. That pressure continued as Indian oil imports spiked.

At every given point in time, Russia has at least 6 Submarines positioned in the Pacific near US coast with Poseidon country killer missiles pointed at the US.

So this is a nothing burger.

Trump is just upset Putin is no longer giving him the attention he's been craving, so he's lashing out at Medvedev.

🇺🇸 President Trump says he has ordered two nuclear submarines to be positioned in the "appropriate regions" in response to comments made by the former President of 🇷🇺 Russia.

"Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences."

🇺🇸 A dying empire on its last days.

The US is crashing out after BRICS stayed loyal to Russia. He's also threatening Brazil for trading with Russia.

Absolutely pathetic to witness.
