⚡Full interview of Luo Wanwei, head of the Philippine Institute for National Security Studies, with a Chinese journalist:

“The Philippine government under the leadership of President Marcos Jr. is under pressure from the United States.”

The militarization of the Philippines under the American umbrella is not good for the Filipino people.

The decision to deploy US missiles on Philippine soil is contrary to the principle of friendship and cooperation in Southeast Asia , as well as peace and neutrality.

Now the Philippines is not a neutral country. Manila actively supports the United States.

It is dangerous for the current Philippine government to allow the United States to do such things. This makes the Philippines a pawn in the ongoing geopolitical rivalry in the region involving the US.

Many ASEAN member countries oppose the militarization of the region. The involvement of the US and other countries, including Japan and Australia, will only make the situation worse.

To ease tensions in the South China Sea , the Philippines must take the first step to restore trust between Manila and China. And, if there is mutual trust between the two countries, then they will begin to talk about how to further cooperate. And there are many ways for cooperation.

China has been friends with the Philippines for a very long time. They are permanent neighbors. In the past, the South China Sea did not separate the Filipinos and the Chinese; on the contrary, it connected peoples. This is the source of our connection, not separation.

Procashtips:
Disbanding wagner (Europe) wasn't an error.

If what happened last year had succeeded (the revolt), do you think you'd be here posting Russian's uccesses?

You can't allow a powerful militia arm of that magnitude to be out of the mother bear's control.

The leadership were even like they were about to be bought.
How about putting it under Russian MOD control?

Huge battlefield successes were made during Wagners reign because they weren't afraid of losses. They were mostly prisoners.

They should have used Wagner to capture Odessa at least before disbanding.

All these threats from Ukranian sea drones wouldn't have existed if they did.

NATO wouldn't dare attack from their territory (Romania).

But with 700k troops already in Ukraine, Russia has big plans for them.

⚡The International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts that Russia’s economy will grow up to 2.6% in 2024, up from the IMF’s original forecast in October 2023.

Speaking about the Kremlin’s financial position, Alexandra Prokopenko, fellow at the Carnegie Russia Eurasia Centre, said sanctions had “paradoxically enough, protected the economy from certain external shocks”.

“Economic growth in Russia today benefits from the fact that the Russian economy is heavily geared toward free market mechanisms and forces, increased levels of government spending and the willingness of China and India to import vast quantities of Russian hydrocarbons.”

Lawag3:
Oh OK so this is the problem with your explanation.

Initially, Russian forces captured key areas to the north and west of Kyiv, leading to international prediction of the city's imminent fall. However, stiff Ukrainian resistance sapped Russian momentum. Poor Russian logistics and tactical decisions helped the defenders to thwart efforts at encirclement, and, after a month of protracted fighting, Ukrainian forces began counterattacking.

Following the successful Ukrainian counterattacks in late March, Russia began withdrawing its forces from the Kyiv area on 29 March. Four days later, the Ukrainian authorities declared that Kyiv and the surrounding Kyiv Oblast were again under Ukrainian control.

Pay attention to the dates.

The first peace talks meeting was held four days after the start of the invasion, on 28 February 2022, in Belarus. It concluded without result ( true or false) , with delegations from both sides returning to their capitals for consultations.[1] A second and third round of talks took place on 3 and 7 March 2022,[2][3] on the Belarus–Ukraine border, in an undisclosed location in the Gomel region of Belarus.[4] A fourth and fifth round of talks were respectively held on 10 and 14 March in Antalya, Turkey. ( true or false)

The peace talks ended on the 14th of March but the fighting only increased with losses on both sides Russian even tried circling Kiev but couldn't.

So are you saying Russia kept fighting after agreeing to redraw from Kiev? Because apparently they were still fighting till late March 2022. True or false
When it was time to sign the final agreement. Then they withdrew.

There were so many peace summits but no final agreement were reached.

ElevationD:
Japan is a sovereign nation and is considered a regional power in Asia. It has the largest economy in Asia and is a major player in regional affairs, exerting significant political, economic, and cultural influence. Japan's military is also one of the most advanced and capable in the region, with a significant presence in the Asia-Pacific.

Until the second world war destruction of Nagasaki and Hiroshima, the Japanese were militarily very powerful. Nothing has diminished, except abiding by the agreements ending the second world war.

Japan's regional power status is reflected in its:

- Economic influence: Japan is a leading trade partner and investor in many Asian countries.
- Political leadership: Japan plays a key role in regional organizations like the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the East Asia Summit (EAS).
- Military capabilities: Japan's Self-Defense Forces are a formidable military power in the region.
- Cultural influence: Japanese culture, technology, and innovation have a significant impact on the region.

However, Japan's regional power status is also subject to challenges and limitations, including:

- Rivalry with China: Japan's relationship with China is complex and often tense, with competing interests and territorial disputes.
- North Korean threat: Japan is vulnerable to North Korea's military provocations and nuclear threats.
- Dependence on US alliance: Japan's security relies heavily on its alliance with the United States.

Overall, Japan's regional power status is significant, but it must navigate complex regional dynamics to maintain its influence and security.
China has the largest economy in Asia.

Bigger than Japan and the others combined.

OkpaNsukkaisBae:
Many countries in the US led hegemony have lost their sovereignty... No wonder US still has military bases in their country. Countries like Germany and Japan. Imagine a leader acknowledging that the masses are against certain government policies but there is no alternative other than obeying Washington.
They say BRICS association is imaginary and faked.

But we saw how Argentina pulled out and nobody batted an eyelid. Easy peasy, no one threatened them.

Look at Turkey, India, Serbia, Iran, China shipping billion dollars worth of weapon to Ukraine. Russia still maintain their relationship with them, no hatred or threats.

Now let's go to the so called "beacon of freedom and democracy". NATO and EU.

The US still spies and wire taps the phones of its so called NATO allies till this day. They don't even trust each other.

The number one criterias for joining EU is hating Russia, sanctioning Russia, destroying every form of Relationship with Russia, erasing Russian language from your schools, taking away every rights of Russians living in your country and restricting their movements, blocking Russian news and media from your country, harassing or expelling Russian diplomats from your country.

If you fulfill all these criterias, you are immediately accepted to EU and you automatically become the most loved member.

Look at how they're threatening Serbia to join them or be crushed. Even after breaking up Serbia into parts.

Look at how they threatened Hungary to join their Ukraine war train. They even threatened to assassinate Orban. They cut off and seized funds from Hungary and were contemplating on sanctioning Hungary.

Look at Slovakia, how Fico was assassinated for not supporting sending weapons to Ukraine.

Everyday Stoltenberg gives out strict conditions for all NATO members. You MUST do this, you MUST do that. No one dares to do otherwise. Being a NATO member is choking.

Look at what they're doing to Moldova. The conditions they gave to Moldova before it can join EU.

If this is what freedom is or looks like then I'd rather die a thousand deaths than be part of that freedom.
