Western media said western tanks, including the US-made M1 Abrams, which according to the US Army, has never been destroyed in battle, is the game changer Ukraine needs.

Well, that is true. The M1 Abrams is really the game changer Ukraine needs.

In fact, some M1 Abrams successfully crossed through Russian frontlines and are currently in Moscow.

Not as normal working tanks, but as destroyed scrap metal.
And guess what!

It was destroyed by a common super light FPV drone, not even an anti armor munition.

Polish military equipment will be deployed near the Polish-Russian border from May 4-6 in northeastern Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship as part of NATO's Steadfast Defender drills, the Polish Armed Forces General Command said.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko told Sputnik that the scale of the 2024 iteration of Steadfast Defender marks the final and irrevocable return of the alliance to Cold War schemes to counter Russia. These exercises are another element of the hybrid war unleashed by the West against Russia, he added.

Hong Kong was lashed by nearly 10,000 cloud-to-ground lightning strikes from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning, according to data from the city’s weather observatory.

The Chinese city is accustomed to high humidity levels during April leading up to monsoon season, with residents prepared for sudden downpours during their workday commutes.

Beginning 9:00 pm Tuesday evening, Hong Kong skies put on a flashy display, with the observatory recording 5,914 lightning bolts in a single hour as rain bucketed down.

By 10:59 am on Wednesday, it had recorded 9,437 ground-to-lighting strikes, with the majority hitting Hong Kong’s New Territories East region.

Hong Kong island was the second-largest recipient of strikes, with towering residential buildings lit up by the near-constant bolts.

Tuesday night’s thunderstorm also caused delays at Hong Kong’s international airport, while in the eastern Sai Kung region, violent winds whipped at a Cantonese opera theatre made up of bamboo scaffolding, according to video shared on social media.

⚡AFU command to blame for Russian army's breakthrough in Ukraine's defences towards Avdeevka

Some Ukrainians are already openly expressing their dissatisfaction with the officers, Ukrainian soldiers told Al-Jazeera correspondents.

"My company was literally destroyed. We were carrying out tasks in the most difficult conditions and nobody cared. We attacked without support and with stupid orders, and we defended without support and with the same stupid orders," the publication quoted one of the soldiers as saying.

Experts have described the Ukrainian army's retreat from Ocheretino as a "systemic failure" that could lead to serious complications for Ukraine in the near future.

More debris in Gaza than Ukraine: UN

The Gaza Strip is filled with more war debris and rubble than Ukraine, the head of UN demining operations for the narrow Palestinian territory said Wednesday.

And the danger for clearance work is restricted not just to unexploded ordnance but includes possible exposure to toxic substances such as asbestos.

The United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) estimated the amount of debris in Gaza at 37 million tonnes in mid-April, or 300 kilogrammes per square metre.

“Gaza has more rubble than Ukraine, and to put that in perspective, the Ukrainian front line is 600 miles (nearly 1,000 kilometres) long, and Gaza is 25 miles (40 km) long,” said Mungo Birch, head of the UNMAS programme in the Palestinian territories.

But the sheer volume of rubble is not the only problem, said UNMAS.

“This rubble is likely heavily contaminated with UXO (unexploded ordnance), but its clearance will be further complicated by other hazards in the rubble,” Birch told journalists.

“There’s estimated to be over 800,000 tonnes of asbestos, for instance, alone in the Gaza rubble.” The cancer-causing mineral used in construction requires special precautions when handling.

This is not new na. cool

The real reason that prompted Turkey to go all in for the S-400 was the event that took place over the Euphrates in 2016.

After the brouhaha with Turkey following the downing of the SU-24, and then the US sending 57 Tomahawk cruise missiles directly against the Assad regime, the Russian missile forces in Syria declared that beginning from that day and onward, they would start targeting any plane that flies across and around the Euphare area, which include the Turkish and Iraqi sides of the area. A month or so later, a memo leaked by an insider revealed how the US DoD was complaining bitterly that "all" their planes (stealth and non-stealth) were being "painted" by Russia's SAM defense systems located in Syria. cool For those who understands the military terminology of fighter jets being "painted," you would agreed why they US was mad. cheesy

Well, the Turkish military that knows about everything that is happening in and out of the Icirlik airbase in Turkey where US strategic fighter planes were stationed, instantly seize the opportunity to buy the S-400.

And the US went even madder. cool

The Turks got to confirmed the words of the Russian general in Syria who said that, "...and the myth of invisible planes would be met with disappointing realities." cool.

It was after this reality that the US introduced the CAATSA law, which is aimed at discouraging states particularly in the Middle East and across Asia from purchasing the Sophisticated arms like the S-400 from Russia and other related advanced tech from states like China. cool

For you to know how potent the S-400 is, the US has on several occasions asked Turkey to give the weapon to Ukraine in exchange for several Patriots batteries and a place in the F-35 stealth program. Guess what...

The Turks told them to Bleep off. grin because they already knew from their findings that with the S-400, the F35 and F22 Raptors are flying coffins. cool
