⚡US Naval Hospital Okinawa, preparing for a mass casualty exercise, had to respond to a real-world incident when a light tactical vehicle carrying eight to 10 Marines overturned at the Jungle Warfare Training Center. Several Marines were injured and required treatment at the hospital. Initially thought to be part of the exercise, the hospital clarified that it was a real emergency and not a drill. 1 Like

⚡In Poland, farmers' protest against Ukrainian grain and the "green" policy is escalating. Agrarians promise to block all checkpoints on the border with Ukraine as part of a mass protest on February 20. The pause in the blockade did not last a month. Farmers are also planning to block the approaches to seaports and railway stations, taking into account the past experience when the roads were used to bypass blocked roadblocks. The action will last for 30 days. In addition, the agrarians called on Polish citizens to support their protest, as, according to them, its main goal is to ensure the food security of the republic. Ukrainian carriers have announced a mirror action for their Polish colleagues who travel to Ukraine. ⚡European satellite to crash back to Earth within week. A large satellite which ended its mission 13 years ago will come crashing down to Earth in an uncontrolled manner within the next week, but there is almost zero chance it will hurt anyone, the European Space Agency has said. The ESA’s ERS-2 satellite, which launched in 1995 on a mission to observe Earth, was slowly but deliberately brought down to avoid creating more debris orbiting the planet Such space junk can pose a threat to active satellites as well as the International Space Station. The agency predicted that ERS-2 will re-enter the atmosphere on Monday — give or take three days on either side.
