⚡The proposal for Serbia to join BRICS has been submitted for consideration by the new session of parliament. As soon as the new parliamentary session was formed, today a proposal for a resolution on Serbia's accession to BRICS was submitted to parliament. Members of the Socialist Movement, Djordje Komlenski and Bojan Torbica, submitted a request today to include this project in the parliamentary procedure. Komlenski and Torbica submitted an identical proposal to parliament last August, but the session was dissolved due to snap elections, so the project was not presented to the deputies. Although they are part of the ruling coalition, this proposal was their personal initiative, which was not coordinated with other colleagues in the government. It looks like testing the waters, but such initiatives can only be welcomed. The EU has an alternative - it's BRICS.
