In all we should careless about ethics and constitution as long as Sim keeps his job? This mind set is what brought us as a nation to were we are now, sometimes personal I think we need war to attain progress if not there will be no liberation for the next generation to enjoy, above us the meeting with Mr. President was not a meeting but a summon to intimidate and treating the governor and at the end give him strict instructions on what to do as if the man is serving Wike and not river's people.

some actions that are difficult to justify or ignore
Burning house of Assembly and bulldozing it are very serious

serious questions about the maturity of Fubara

He has provided ammunition to Tinubu

Passing a budget with 5 members of the House of Assembly is a very dangerous precedent
That cannot be allowed
The Federal government cannot allow them to continue playing table tennis with court orders

No matter who you support
It is clear whose supporters burnt the Assembly and bulldozing it was totally irresponsible
The actions of Fubara are very dangerous and now he has come to realise that there is only one person that controls all the security in Nigeria

My opinion
I will not respond so don't bother quoting me

They know, itā€™s only way to make Fubara and their voice heard, na old men sense game, news papers have carried the news and Tinubu, Wike is aware they are against that agreement. Use your sense šŸ¤£

Dear Reno, i hate to do this but i have to do it. It is becoming increasingly obvious since the past two days how fast Nairaland has become more or less a concentration camp, an open field of oppression where we no longer have a voice, we have found ourselves in an ugly situation where our opinions are being muzzled up and our thoughts hastily shut down. This is a worrying development especially at a time Mr President has reechoed his commitment towards free speech and freedom of press. It is as though those who screamed at Buhari for shutting down X, those voices that shouted down the social media bill are now the ones at the forefront of blackmailing dissenting voices and opinions that doesn't suit their ego and sadly, it may have seemed the owner of this forum has been pocketed along their desires, i therefore urge you to keep doing the good work. All your good works across social media are well received on Nairaland, we look forward to hearing more from you.

Pure trash, read what those who participated in the solidarity said, the problem is bad Governance, I donā€™t trust Nigerian politicians but I believe Fubara perform well because 90% River people stand with him, thereā€™s no way any sensible person will betray such love and support.

You are just a confused entity. The other day you said Ikwerre was fhe single largest ethnic group. Today Ijaw is now the majority ethnic group with 11 LGAs. Talking from both sides of your mouth in less than one month.

Ikwerres have nothing with Igbos, go and rest.

Only someone who has never been to/visited the riverine areas of Rivers will take those 11 LGAs seriously.

Those 11 LGAs are absolute water. Nothing and nobody living inside them. When they count 10,000 persons, they make it 1 local government area. I'm from Rivers state, we know riverine people very well. Uninhabitable waterlogged swamp area is where they reside, people living on wooden houses on water.

If you want to see population, come to Ikwerre, Ogoni, Etche, even Oyigbo. Come there and see people living on land.

Who dey fear Ijaw, highest dem go blow pipeline, enter swamp go hide. That's the most they can do.

Igbos too have nothing with Ikwerres, are you bigger than Ijaw? Stop being too emotional.

I donā€™t believe in them but allowing Godfatherism with what is already happening inNigeria will only cause more unrepairable damages, maybe some of them will start to do the right thing if they realise power lies with the masses instead of Godfathers. For me, I think this is no longer making sense.

There must be other motives and interests to all this.

Wike seems to be hated so much now because he didn't support Peter Obi in the last elections.

Otherwise, where was this NLC and TIC since 1999 when Tinubu held Lagos down or other states where former Governors have had a say or two after their time in office in their states?

Wike should leave Fubara alone to run the state but I think all this noise is completely unnecessary.

Itā€™s not about not working for Obi, Wike rigged the election with impunity, this rigging caused the most of them passing night at electoral office and he still went ahead with the rigging, heā€™s power drunk like Tinubu, whatā€™s purpose of Godfatherism if not to steal the state dry until their death.

If you don't know anything about politics then be silent.

Most of you just come online to spew nonsense. Do you know how Fubara emerged as governor? You are just repeating talking points you copied somewhere.

And where in Nigeria have you seen a former governor taking orders from a sitting governor? At best if there is a good relationship, the sitting governor asks for advice from his predecessor.

You don't understand politics at all.

Overused and overrated comment - "This man doesn't know the kind of powers he has as a sitting Governor."
