Don't buy transformerless inverter

Their MOSFETs blow easily after a while.

Visit any electrician/radionic shop where they repair inverters, you will see mountain of dead sachet inverters there.

Some don't last 6 months before they blow and they're over-rated too.

2,000W written on it but if you put 1,000w load continually, MOSFETs will blow.

I would rather buy tokunbo bluegate ups in good condition than buy sachet inverter again
Really? Na wa o.

Get a decent 24 V hybrid inverter and connect your panels directly to it—Felicity, Deye, Growatt, or units from Valto or other trusted sellers on this platform all work. I’ll go with Felicity mainly because their service centers are everywhere. I’ll buy directly from their main office and make sure it’s properly registered for warranty. Omo, repairs will come—it’s not a question of if, just when.

The 100 A MPPT charge controller can be kept as a spare, no solar equipment is ever truly wasted—it usually comes in handy later
If you’d rather sell it, I can take it off your hands for ₦100k and you can put that money toward a hybrid inverter.

Keep in mind that hybrid inverters do consume slightly more power than a separate MPPT-plus-inverter setup. Another option is a sachet inverter paired with your MPPT, but the caveats are lower real-world wattage than advertised and a chopped/modified waveform output.
Thanks a lot.

I recall when before bumping into this thread, I got humbled by another TV seller on nairaland (whose name starts with A, ends with N with a C somewhere in-between. I'm not even sure if he still sells here cos I immidiately unfollowed his thread on NL after the saga.

Dang! Dude sent me a TV that looks like it had gone through hell fire. Scratched body, fiddly buttons, on-screen model name & number different from sticker details and advertised detail on his thread. TV was misbehaving, screen lines when plugged to an HDMI source and a software update that repeatedly taunted my patience and Internet network speed with "update error" response. Ha! Wàhálà. Wetin be this?! I just felt so stvpid and devastated after waiting with so much expectation to get something cool delivered. It was "ọjọ́ burúkú èşù gbomimu" (Bad day that the devil drank water)

What did I do?

I didn't allow that abomination to stay in my custody for 48 hours. I contacted him. He was elusive at first but I just needed that nonsense outta my sight as fast as possible cos every moment I sight it on the shelf, it brings a feeling of sorrow and despair. So I counted my losses and proposed to him a tempting offer - I'll ship it back to him on my tab, and he'll send back my money short of something like 20% deduction "for his inconveniences". Man, was I so glad when an erstwhile elusive seller became suddenly interactive and engaging on seeing the proposal and accepted it. Meanwhile my prayer was that he sá should send my balance as agreed soon after he receives the TV cos mheeen, the depression was getting unbearable. Happily and to his credit too, he didn't take an hour extra before he sent the balance as agreed after he confirmed receiving the TV in "good condition", although not that it was sent to me in the expected "good condition" in the first instance.

The following week, I contacted GraceG and struck a deal with him. A 42" Panasonic Viera smart. He delivered as expected, the item as advertised.

This was circa three years and although I'd since passed on the TV to some Àbúrò Àdúgbò, he ìs still grateful till today as he confirms that it's working as strong as ever.

You cant beat physics bro. Sachet consumes less than hybrids inverters. Hybrid gives cleaner power but you pay for it with higher consumption. Go with hybrid but add 1-2 extra panels to your system. do you really need a transformer based hybrid inverter? non transformer based are okay but repairs can be pricey, they are dicey.
Thanks. I need a non-transformer based, but definitely standalone. There is already a 100A MPPT charge controller installed. A 6.5kwh LFP already on ground. Just needed a recommendation for a good standalone inverter that is not a power hog.

Any ideas please?

Good evening all.

So I need a standalone 24v inverter that isn't sachet type and with good (negligible) "no-load power consumption" similar to the sachet inverters and hybrid inverters. The felicity standalone I know is transformer based and is a power hog even without loads. A 2.5kva spec will be okay.

What names/models can you suggest? Thank you.

Google map relies on existing roads to plot distance and transit time which in the case of the picture you uploaded has curves and bends, which will even be more than what we see in your picture if it is zoomed in. Travelling curves and bends add to transit time.

A new one is to be constructed. It may have been surveyed to march crow flies as much as possible by reducing curves and bends to less numbers than the previous routes.

Crow flies is straight line and always shorter than curves. I thought you did geography in your high school.

Well, just know that at some point in time, Russia will invade the US with powerful war machines, assisted by China and some other allies. By that time, Europe will be so powerless and they can only look on.

Like now for instance, US has damaged Europe so much that even the giant of Europe (Germany) is sliding into recession.

We that are hoping to make money from Europe should do so as quickly as possible and be ready to dissappear so as to not get caught up with conscription and drafting into the US army to defend the US against Russia invasion.

Zelensky

We all know the guy was a professional stand up comedian before he got drafted by the WEF to carry out their agenda of "you'll own nothing and you'll be happy"

The moment he became president, the popular electoral promises of "neutrality and do no harm to ethnic Russians" which he rode upon to become president was jettisoned and he began to romance US and the West, who needed a proxy for their war of attrition on Russia.

The agreement by the US after the breakup of USSR was that they (the US) thru NATO will not expand an inch eastward to wards Russia. But knowing the US for who it is, it was to break the promise in order to keep maintaining her hegemony and also with the fact they the US wants to occupy Ukraine because it the many rich mineral deposits in the land, but would want to do it after kil-li_ng off more than half of able-bodied men in Ukraine.

Of course everyone in the west are waking up and are beginning to vote out WEF stooge (Joe Biden/Kamala Harris, Justin trudeau, Rishi Sunak, Keith stamer, Emmanuel Macron of France who is currently holding on for dear life)

Even listening to loud speakers in a noisy environment for sometime is enough to make you go deaf, let alone the pressure enough to puncture the tympanic membrane that can be gotten from sudden slaps like the one being given to the boy.

If you have an Opay virtual naira card, you can also add it to the list of cards you use at checkout.

Your LFP doesnt mind being charged to full. Li-ion may have that issue though cos I recall my Samsung phone has a battery protect setting to limit charging to 85%. With that, the charging will never reach 100% full, only stops at 85%. I know Li-ion is used in cell phones.

ask4bk:
Hi, a lithium charger that charges to max 14.6v is destroying the lithium battery fast.
It's not good to charge lithium that high, and that's what many don't know and they killing their battery like that and it won't last for years as expected. It's tubular and gel that can go that high.

For lithium, it's advised not to go higher than 14.2 (which is even till high). Best voltage charge setting is 13.9v or 14.0v.

True your lithium won't charge full, but you are sure your lithium will do 15 - 20 years with that. If your battery has editable bms, you can charge it so that 3.5v (which is 14.0v) be 100%.

This is an info many Nigerian lithium dealers and installers don't know.

My yield seems to drop significantly during the dry season compared to raining season even though there's an increase in the amount of sunlight. Please what could be the reason for this?
From my own experience, dust is doing a serious number on panels during the dry season especially if you are in a place where there is untarred section of a busy road.

Once before, dust build-up on the panels have reduced charging output by as much as 30%.

Then there is this issue of hot sun in dry season, at temperatures which exceed the optimum operating temperature of those panels.

À well ventilated panel (on the underside) installation can help mitigate that heat-indicted drop in capacity

Me I no dey even do much wàhálà. What I just do is take screenshots of certain items of interest in my cart or at check out with their prices (which also includes the shipping/no shipping prices) at select times. The moment 11/11 comes, I compare the new prices of the items in my cart with the old prices in my screenshot.

Of course the price always goes up at 11/11 or black Friday.

They should just shift their 11/11 to 9/11 so that we should kúkú know that they're doing 419 for us or terr0rising us with price hikes.

Olamak1:
Very true!

Here's is my confirmation:
I discover that some stores have made moves to reduce the prices of their products in anticipation of the upcoming Black Friday sales as compared to what they were on the 11.11. How did I know that?

There's this mobile phone I planned to order during the 11.11, but because of the high price, I decided to wait till the last moment of the sales to know if I'd eventually order it or not. So, I made sure the phone is moved to 'unpaid item' list , hoping to compare the price to that of Black Friday's, and to pay for it later if the price is more favorable than that of the later sales.

When the Black Friday warm-up popped up yesterday, I checked the upcoming price of the phone, only to discover that it has gone down by $4.
