There are things that can lead to this... If you can give me a run down analysis how it started..

[size=18pt]nofin much o! ma phone was kinda low...decided 2power it a bit...switched d PC on(Lenovo T500 windows8) plugged d phone!...then decided to play some tracks, that was when I noticed the trackpad was only moving but not clicking...days later decided 2use an external mouse...now even d external mouse is behaving same with the trackpad[/size]

There are a number of reason to the ish..

*Bad ba3/charger.. What happens wen u use it widout charging?
*Weak contact.. Can b fixed by loosenin nd cleaning d pad area. -c a local com. engr #1K
*Virus infection
*Overload of HD Ram overworked

I once had an issue as such..

Well i am not a laptop engineers by any stretch but i know a thing or two.

Firstly see if you can thoroughly wipe the surface of the track pad, preferably with cleaning fluid or methylated spirit and a clean absorbent cloth, to remove any cloying substance.

If that one does not work, it may be that the connectors to the motherboard are disconnected, weak or dead.

If that is the case, then you have two options,

Either you take it to an expert and get determines what really went Haywire on your device OR you buy an external USB or wireless mouse.

NB; It could also mean that the system is under the ministering spirit of a strong virus or a really dysfunctional system and over tasked hard disk drive.

Thanks bro! Will try it! Worse is dat d xternal mouse too, which was working is now doing the same thing my trackpad does...moving but not clicking

you need to see an engineer then. Hope you dont normally place ur handset on ur system because such is usually d outcome when one does dat as one will always be experiencing 'hanging'
